The gardens were breathtaking and really created such a relaxed atmosphere.
The brewery is definitely worth a visit to, for the beer and the gin. Both were really amazing!
The staff were very friendly and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble for them.

6 days is about enough time to do one route of the Midlands Meander thoroughly. I think 8 days was a bit too long this time, but it was extremely relaxing and we managed to have fun for every day that we were there.

The accommodation was clean and tidy. The Kitchen was full equipped. On arrival we found that there was tea, coffee and milk available, with chocolate muffins, which was delicious, the family and I finished those. Wendy was a great help, kind and accommodating, even went dumpster diving for lost items in the bin. Great hosts. There was plenty of wood to keep us warm as the temperature's dropped to 3 degs C the nights that we were there and was replenished the next day.
Great destination, close to all the Nottingham Road haunts.
The location was amazing - right in the middle of Nottingham Road & sufficiently close to all the main attractions. The room was very clean and comfortable, with lovely small touches like chocolates on the pillows. The property itself is beautiful, with nice walks possible around the golf course. The included a la carte breakfasts were delicious, with great coffee. The staff at the restaurant were really helpful and friendly.
The friendliness of the staff and general manager. We were just here for one evening and we probably ran into and spoke to the manager three times. I live in hotels, I rarely meet the manager.
The hotel just had really great vibe and it felt like you part of something great.
They still do the little things, turn down service, a choc on the bedside, it is nice to see those traditions.
2 bedroom cottage is beautifully set out and very comfortable. Has everything one would need for a short stay. Very nice property with 2 short walks which are very well marked and have great views of the valley. Location is close to Nottingham Road and many wonderful locations to visit in the area. We really enjoyed our stay.
Absolutely incredible accommodation on a dairy farm. We felt so comfortable and taken care of. We got firewood for the fireplace and even got fresh milk, eggs, butter and bread from the farm in our unit. We loved it and would recommend it to all our friends and family :)
Fordoun Hotel and spa provides a picturesque setting with an exceptional spa, making the visit truly memorable. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the overall enjoyment of the stay. This is definitely a destination I look forward to returning to.
Unit was very clean and hosts were very hospitable. All information required of things to do in the area was in a file for easy reference. Very comfortable beds, had a good night's rest. Lovely estate to take a good 5km walk in beautiful nature
Lovely, comfortable room with beautiful view of the lake. Very good attention to detail in terms of soft furnishings. Linen and towels were fresh and clean. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious in a warm and inviting country ambiance.

We staying in Fish Eagles Cottage. It was absolutely stunning so comfortable and the kitchen was so well equipped.
The cottages are beautifully appointed and the views are stunning.
It is self catering. We received milk and eggs. We had lovely dinner down the road. The road is particularly bad though with potholes to town. It is further out from Nottingham road.
