A charming facility with attentive staff from the owner to the housekeepers. Everyone pitched in to make our stay memorable. Not having our own wheels it is conveniently located. On top of that, the price is right. Thank you, Martin and co-workers.

This has been our favorite place to stay since traveling. The room was beautiful. The bed was so comfortable and the first good. Ishtar sleep we had in a long time. The bathroom was huge, beautiful and had many safety features for those having wheelchairs or mobility issues. Very convenient location and a great restaurant below.

We loved the home from home feeling, the milk and bread etc. being available was lovely. It’s a cosy, comfortable stay. The bed was so comfortable and the linens are gorgeous. The gardens are wonderful, we loved the place.

Silken Thomas is a lovely place to stay for a short visit to Kildare. It is in a great location and near to Kildare Village, Japanese Gardens and The Curragh Racing Course. I would be happy to stay there again but on arrival I would check for a bath plug and no dangerous chairs.

We loved Kildare and would recommend, unfortunately it was rather wet so restricted our walking but still enjoyed. The pubs were fabulous, very friendly people, wished it was our last port of call in Ireland instead of the first as there is a huge designer outlet complex and no room to carry all the purchases I would have liked to indulge in 🤪

Lovely town, right next to Kildare outlet.
Lovely town, right next to Kildare outlet. There’s not a lot of bars and restaurants but it’s cosy and perfect for a quite night away. We stayed in the silken Thomas and ate and drank in their adjoining restaurant the food was lovely cocktails were ok. Would definitely stay again
I stayed here for business for 4 nights and have also stayed many times before.
The rooms were very comfortable, staff were excellent David in particular and food wonderful. Since I came last time it has had a make over and extension. Very well laid out.
Car Park free if you stay in the hotel. Would recommend even if just for a meal.
5 minute drive to Kildare Village outlet and 40mims to Dublin Centre.
A lovely cosy hotel with very friendly staff and a relaxing, calm atmosphere. A little gem, as a lot of the original features of the hotel have been maintained along with service standards. The breakfast was delicious.
A special mention to Martin, thank you for looking after us and not forgetting Abby and Adam.
Lovely small hotel in the centre of Kildare with a few local coffee shops and bars around. We arrived late and left early so we didn't get to see much of the place but a quick coffee around the corner in the morning was lovely. The room was beautifully decorated and very clean.
Cosy, comfortable, cottage. One bedroom & bathroom upstairs and one bedroom & bathroom downstairs. Rural aspect and about 15 minutes drive from Kildare. Lovely, thoughtful owner. Look for the Fearmore sign on the property as google maps tends to take you to the house prior.
Beautiful rooms and bathroom with added touches such as toiletries and coffee machine. Food at Cunningham’s was great and good value - we ate in the bar. Hotel is a great location too in the town and has easy walking access to lots. Private entrance and parking was a bonus.
We had a beautiful room with a very comfortable bed and the biggest shower we had in all of our stays in Ireland! We were surprised to see the rooms were above a large bar/restaurant but it was very peaceful upstairs.
Location was prefect especially if you want to shop at kildare village, the accommodation was perfect very clean ,has everything you need for a perfect getaway. bed was an extra bonus guaranteed a great night sleep
Public parking right behind hotel was convenient and inexpensive. The hotel staff were friendly and efficient. The room was very comfortable and high end, with naspresso machine and complimentary crisps and water.
Cozy rooms with welcoming decor and unbeatable location in the main square of Kildare. Great (Thai!) food at the pub downstairs. It’s a popular spot for locals to watch the match, and to party on weekends.
Austin was incredibly friendly and was so nice to make us some delicious scones for breakfast. Very nice place with a convenient location as we were on our way from Dublin to the west of Ireland
Great hotel. Fantastic location for convenience to kildare Village a short 10 minute walk. Also a 1 hour coach journey from Dublin City centre. Staff were all so helpful and friendly
Rooms were amazing , free water in room also. Amazing value for money and very central. Kildare village outlets only couple mins away. Breakfast next door was amazing quality
We were looking for a place west of Dublin to begin our stay in Ireland. Rooms at Firecastle was a good choice. Great beds and bathroom. Staff was helpful as well.
the staff here are exceptionally good , the front desk hostess/ hotel manager ( I think her name is Beartha (not sure on the spelling) is a superstar !!
