The room had a complementary fruit plate as a welcome gift, and milk in the fridge for our morning coffee. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and quiet. The whole experience was far beyond our expectations, especially for the price! We'll certainly look for other opportunities to book Airedale hotels.

Called the "City of Sails" due to the large number of yachts anchored in Waitemata Harbor, Auckland is the largest city of both New Zealand and Polynesia. Built on the Auckland Volcanic Field featuring about 48 extinct volcanoes, this city truly is a blast!
Auckland is a real cultural mix with strong Asian, European, Maori and Polynesian influences, celebrated in frequent festivals and sports events. Some examples of these cultures can be seen at the Auckland War Memorial Museum, one of the best in New Zealand. For more, try the upmarket dining of Viaduct Harbour.
Another must-see is the tallest free-standing tower in the Southern Hemisphere, the Sky Tower. If you’re feeling up to the challenge, you can even perform the Sky Jump, a controlled base jump from 630 feet!
Climbing the volcanic cones as well as the stunning Auckland Harbour Bridge will provide unforgettable, panoramic views of the city’s skyline. For a different perspective, why not try a cruise or sea kayaking?
Getting to the city center is an easy trip from Auckland International Airport. Find modern hotels, comfortable motels and cheap hostels on Booking.com, sure to have the perfect place to stay for your trip.
Auckland is a great city and easy to walk around. There are plenty of places to eat out ranging from budget to fine dining. Apart from all the shops, cafes and restaurants, if you need some respite there is a park in the middle of the city and a great art museum. Alternatively, you can go down to the waterfront/viaduct and find somewhere nice to eat and relax. If you want to be away from the city, a ferry will take you to Devonport in ten minutes, or you could take a longer trip out to Waiheke or further. One of my favourite spots in the central city is High Street, which has bookshops and cafes.

Auckland CBD is a complete mess.
Auckland CBD is a complete mess. The birthplace of road cones. Queen Street is a traffic nightmare with mainly low quality shops and dirty streets.
Auckland is a nice city as long as you ignore the CBD and the Southern Motorway and Harbour Bridge. Stay out of the CBD and travel at off-peak times and you will survive.

I'm biased but this city has it all, from the Skytower casino and Revolving restaurant, to harbour views and walks with so much todo! a ferry across to Devonport with high quality Shops and cafes and the military museum, or across to Waiheke Island for an amazing wine and olive tour etc, one tree hill with panoramic views of Auckland or head up in to the Waitakere Mountains for great walks and Fairy Falls or book a ride on the small gauge train and go through the glow worm tunnels etc oh i could go on.

My husband and I walked around Auckland City during the day and some nights, it was pleasant, we went on the ferry to Devonport, I have never been there before and I fell in love with Auckland City.
We went to a small establishment called the Occidental, perfect pub, cliental friendly, staff amazing.
Only thing I would make sure on my next visit is the Skytower during the day. I wanted to go at night but we never got there when it was open.
Auckland City is amazing can't wait to go again

We were in Auckland two nights, respite from a long flight from Vancouver to Melbourne. Visited the Aquarium and the museum as it was too wet for outdoor sightseeing. Ate lunch one day at White and Wongs on the docks. A simple meal but one of the very best we've eaten.

Auckland is a great city - a physically beautiful place with many great natural and man made features but also world class restaurants and plenty of things to do for all ages. I hope to spend a lot more time there in the future as there is much to explore.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, lovely very acceptable rooms. Accomodating and stress free. Trustworthy, and very clean. Big difference from another motel I stayed at near Auckland airport. Prefer comfort, safety, cleanliness and a professional attitude over price.
The shuttle bus ran quite frequently and was very convenient and you could book it to take you to the airport at any time convenient for your flight (not like cheaper places (another story))
Handy location, walking distance to downtown (Parnell, Newmarket and Auckland CBD). Staff members (receptionists, housekeeping ladies, restaurant waiters/waitresses and even mechanics are very helpful and friendly. This has been the hotel that we would definitely stay whenever we visit Auckland. Laundry facilities and carpark are also very convenient. Great budget prices for rooms and very spacious. It makes you feel like home.
Great location, easy to find. Right in the City Centre but not a busy road so easy to get in and out of - Car parking located under building so vehicle is secure. Easy walking distance to downtown Auckland and the Viaduct area . The room we stayed in this time was great with basic kitchen facilities, perfect for a weekend away. Pool and spa area recently upgraded and is amazing, also has a small gym.
Good central location near City Works Depot. Was great to have a car park - a rare treat in Auckland CBD! We booked last minute for our work conference as our other accommodation fell through, and the hosts had a quick response and were easy to deal with. The place was spacious, clean and tidy. We were disappointed that we couldn't stay longer to really enjoy the space. Very happy with our stay.
The Hotel was in a great location handy to the viaduct and Auckland central. It was a little tired and could do with a refresh. The staff were helpful and friendly. If you are after a place to stay in Auckland that is comfortable and close to the city Centre, then this is a good option.
