A Tiny Croatian Town with An Austrian Twist
Opatija is a lively and popular tourist destination which offers sandy beaches and some of the most stunning coastal views in Croatia, evident while strolling along its lovely seaside promenade Lungomare.
The town’s streets and pristine coastline are lined with bright and colourful pastel-coloured buildings, restaurants, bars, cafés and hotels.

This place is so nice and beautiful.
This place is so nice and beautiful. And Lungomare walk is something incredible! I wish we had more time to explore the city or simply get lost there. Then visit the museums and admire historical villas, check out nice shops with souvenirs, spent more time just sitting and observing the sea in one of the cozy cafes at the seaside.

It’s a beautiful city with lots of Austrian style influenced buildings. I would not recommend it during the summer because for swimming in the sea it is not the best place to go to, as there are not really nice beaches. But for off season it is very nice.

Tourist Hotspot so most cafés/restaurants/bars are overpriced, often ridiculously so for the level of service. Also too crowded, even in off season. One exception: Pizzeria Roko, go eat there!

Well Opatia is an old tourist town. It does show its age and set of problems like all tourist towns. But still retains its charm and different eras that build it. A wonderful place to walk enjoy coffee on some terrace or a perfect sea food meal. Opatija is the Monaco of Isrtria. Beutiful city with nice beaches. It worth to visit Medveja beach, and Moscenicka Draga beach as well, the water is more clean than the main beaches in Opatija. For food and beverage, I suggest to try Cafe Imperial, Roko, but the absolut winner is Valle Losca Tavern, where you can have the most delicious dinner in Opatija. Both of them, they need reservation! If you are looking for an active nightlife with parties, I do not recommend, there was only two bars, Summer Garden (close at 12PM, 1AM on Friday Saturday), and Colosseum Beach Bar, but they also close at 1AM. Pula, Crikvenica, or Porec can be better options for partying.KKrisztiHungary

Valentina from the reception arranged everything, when I asked for a small present for my friend. The nice surprise came it was a birthday cake and the bottle of the sparkling wine. Wanted to pay for it of course. Hotel didn't asked fo anything. The staff was always a step ahead, they arranged everything in advance, from the parking tip to prolonged check out. There is a big supermarket very close to the villa. The room was small, but it was clean and it had all comforts. Nice shower and airco. Private parking is a plus. Great value for money . A few things would make the apartment even more homely: for example, a microwave or wine glasses. But everything was perfect even without them. I wholeheartedly recommend the accommodation, especially for couples.

The walkway next to the ocean is right in front of the hotel. The room we stayed in was very quite since it was facing the ocean. I don't think that there are any land facing rooms in this property.
