Red Roof Inn Doswell - Kings Dominion, hotel in Ruther Glen

Red Roof Inn Doswell - Kings Dominion is located in Doswell, 23 miles from Greater Richmond Convention Center and a 12-minute walk from Kings Dominion.

Location was currently under construction. Room was very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. Tiling in bathroom poorly installed, very tackily installation which spoils the rest room being perfect.

Richmond North / Kings Dominion KOA, hotel in Ruther Glen

Located in Doswell, 0.6 mi from Kings Dominion Amusement Park, Richmond North / Kings Dominion KOA features a seasonal outdoor pool and barbecue.

Everything about KOA cabin where we stay was really nice, clean and organized. Plus the surrounding it is very relaxing, and safe for the kids. The kids was able to play in the playground and basketball court. Unfortunately, the pool is not ready for use when we went there. Other than that, we loved it, and we are planning to go back!

This place is dirty and in need of repairs.

This place is dirty and in need of repairs. Carpets were grossly dirty. They used different sheets on each bed with marks on them. Im not sure the room was even cleaned because there were towels missing. We didnt get a breakfast because they said they dont do it. It was in the description on the travel site I used. The pool was closed up too. We could have paid a little more somewhere else and had these important features. The nightstand is too small if you have a bi-pap machine not much more can fit. The carpets and floors were so dirty my feet were filthy and had to be washed with baby wipes. There were huge gaps around the entry goor and lights showed through. It was scary with all the vehicle noises and men talking very loud when we were trying to sleep. The place needs new bedding, towels, and especially a new carpet. The filth was unhealthy in my opinion. I would never stay there again and wish I hadn't the first time.

This hotel was the nastiest hotel I have ever seen in my life, and I have traveled quite a bit. I tried leave once I seen the room, I was told that because of reservation made, I would have stay 24 hours before checking out. I originally booked the hotel for 7 days; I checked out the very next morning. We did not take our clothes off, we slept on top covers. We did not wash our face, before leaving we just left. We did unfortunately have to use the bathroom, when try to wash hands after the sink just filled up and did not drain. I truly believe the marks I seen on the wall was feces. The wash clothes were more than just stained. I could go on and on.

It was close to Kings Dominion about a 10 min ride, it served it's purpose somewhere to shower and sleep nothing to do at hotel but places to go nearby for food, ice cream and gas..Staff was very polite and room was o.k.

It was just a stop over exit after leaving a wedding.

It was just a stop over exit after leaving a wedding. I'm sure out in the actual town of Ruther Glen it is quaint but the truck stops and hotel area we stayed in was just that, nothing more than an exit off I95.

I (Lenora) was born and grew up in Ruther Glen, I graduated from Union High school '68. My parents are both deceased and we wanted to honor them by getting their off springs together. Four generations and everyone attended at the home that my daddy build and they raised six children.

The hotel has gone through a partial renovation, and the room was clean, with a comfortable bed. But, the bathroom had not been renovated, and the tub was a disgrace. Continental breakfast was mediocre, but the coffee was not bad. Throughout the hotel, and on the grounds, the place looks like a bomb has struck the hotel. Carpet was dirty, had holes, and was generally disgusting. The doors that connect the hotel to the outside were all damaged, and I do not believe that any of the security doors worked properly, or secured the building.

We needed a place to sleep for one night on the journey from Florida to Canada. The motel is near the highway, is pet friendly, priced right, comfy beds, good shower, and the lady who welcomed us at check in was friendly and helpful. With our particular needs when we explained them to her.

The only good thing I have to say about this hotel is the location is only 9 minutes from Kings Dominion. If they were to offer me a free night to compensate for the filth that was in that room, I would not accept it.
