I loved Rome, but I would never return in July/August.
I loved Rome, but I would never return in July/August. Everyone wants to see the same sites, which is understandable, however, it's uncomfortable being in crowds in such heat. The shopping experience is excellent, and the best sales of the year are in the first week of July. I met women from the US that come every year at this time to "hit the sales"! Take guided tours, use the Hop On Hop Off Bus service.Guest review byTerriUnited States - 10.0
Staff were second to none.
Staff were second to none. The desk is manned 24 hours - all young and each one could not be more helpful. All meal recommendations were spot on. Clean and comfortable and perfect as springboard to Rome airport. Highly recommend.Guest review byRobynAustralia - 10.0

We loved the history, the restaurants, the views, the convenience to the terminal. The weather was fabulous! It was easy to walk everywhere. We even walked from the Norwegian Epic terminal to the train station on our return.Guest review byCaroleCanada - 8.0

It's a nice place to feel out the locals' way of life, but also with services (shops, bars, cafes etc.) that don't make a tourist feel completely out of place. The roads in the city are auite bumpy, so be aware if travelling by car.Guest review byRIDRomania - 10.0

A bit of a military town (nato and US frigates, etc) but I think Gaeta has something for everyone. Great community, historical sights, and an amazing park with ruins and tunnels. It did cost me 25€ to get to my hotel from the train station, but I was told by locals this was a fair price,Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Beyond gorgeous.
Beyond gorgeous. It’s a dream vacation spot and easily travelled by electric bike to all the beaches. Mostly Italian tourists which made it seem much more chilled out than other beach spots in Italy. Highly recommendGuest review byKristinaUnited States - 10.0
We were in Terracina the last two weeks of June.
We were in Terracina the last two weeks of June. We experienced a local feel with few tourists. the old town is fantastic. We rented electric bikes, which is recommended. Then you can get around easily. A trip up to the temple went like a dream in the heat. We also cycled out to the Cantina Sant'Andrea winery. It took approx. one hour one way. A wonderful trip and a great visit where we tasted many good wines. One should also enter a trip to Ponza. The ferry departs from the city centre. An incredibly cozy island. We chose to rent a boat when we were out there, so that we could take a trip to the outside of the island and swim in the crystal clear water. It was magical! We only took a day trip, but we should have included an overnight stay at Ponza.Guest review byKnut IvarNorway - 10.0
A lovely mostly little undiscovered medieval town.
A lovely mostly little undiscovered medieval town. It’s only small but very cute with lots of restaurants and an attractive cathedral and papal palace. Easily walkable and not very far from Rome. Mostly quiet except on weekendsGuest review bycatherineAustralia - 10.0

We liked the most the place was very calm, no noise.
We liked the most the place was very calm, no noise. You can easily find local restaurants with reasonable prices or can go to Anzio city to find more sophisticated restaurants. It is better to have a car as the sea is approximately 50 min. by walk.Guest review byLoreta
