Excellent location, close to Passau, but in the quiet countryside. The hotel is retro furnished, staff is very friendly, nice continental breakfast, the rooms have a lovely, large shared terrace. Full marks for the "adults only" so there's no screaming kids around, it's very tranquil.

It is a beautiful location with a lovely hotel. The road towards the hotel was already putting us in a relaxed mode. So much green! The hotel looks beautiful. The receptionist was very welcoming and nice, explained us where everything was and that we could still eat at a restaurant 150 meters down the road if we'd hurry (we arrived at 20.15, the restaurant kitchen closed at 20.30). The rooms were spacious, looked renewed, and we had a view on the garden. The beds were nice, the shower was great. Breakfast was also lovely, many choices. You could also eat breakfast outside if you wanted to. We stayed for just one night since we were travelling home from Croatia and were looking for a hotel halfway, near Passau. I'm sure we'll come again!

After riding 600 km on a motorbike I made a stopover in Zum Koch before the final leg. I was quite exhausted and overheated. The spa in the hotel did its miracle. After soaking for half an hour in a warm swimming pool, spending time in a Turkish steam chamber and in a Finnish sauna and afterwards having fruit tea with some fruit I got completely revitalised. The dinner a la carte was very good, although a bit pricy for for a mototraveller. Note if you need some snacks or beverages in your room overnight, buy them beforehand as there are no shops or kiosks in the proximity of the hotel. All in all excellent!
