입맛을 돗구는 맛있는 요리로 유명한 볼로냐! 옛 모습을 그대로 간직한 역사 문화 센터와 아치 아래로 아름다운 길목이 끝없이 펼쳐지는 '포르티코(porticos)'를 만나보세요. 1088년에 세워진 볼로냐 대학교는 유럽 대륙에서 가장 오래된 대학교가 위치한 도시이기도 합니다.
구시가지의 심장부에 위치한 마지오레 광장은 산 페트로니오, 시청 건물, 포르티코 데이 반치, 포데스타 궁전과 같은 명소로 둘러싸여 있어 필수 관광 코스로 꼽힙니다. 허나, 볼로냐의 가장 상징적인 명소는 뭐니 뭐니 해도 12세기에 세워진 아시넬리와 가리센다 탑이죠. 현재 가리센다 탑은 약 3미터 정도 기울어져 있답니다.
이탈리아의 음식 수도로도 잘 알려진 볼로냐. 소금에 절인 고기와 딸리아딸레 알 라구(tagliatelle al ragù)와 같은 파스타와 파마 햄과 치즈가 들어간 토르텔리니(tortellini)로 유명한 이곳의 음식은 수많은 식객들의 성지로 여겨지고 있습니다. 대학교를 중심으로 구성된 도시인 만큼 학생들로 가득한 펍과 와인바 그리고 아페리티보(aperitivo)를 즐길 수 있는 이탈리아식 선술집 '트라토리아(trattorias)'도 손쉽게 찾아볼 수 있습니다.
볼로냐의 시내는 굴리엘모 마르코니 (볼로냐) 국제공항에서 택시나 Aerobus를 타고 쉽게 도달할 수 있으니 참고해주시기 바랍니다.
