River Walk
Hidden beneath the streets of central San Antonio, this riverside promenade is an iconic city centrepiece. The San Antonio River Walk connects local landmarks via a network of waterside walkways, located one level below the traffic. Buzzing shops, bars and restaurants draw in year-round crowds, while annual festivals see the river fill with coloured lights and flowery floats.

Do not leave town without going to the Riverwalk.
Do not leave town without going to the Riverwalk. It's much cooler lower than street level. Visit night after Thanksgiving to see all the super tall trees filled with Holiday lights, ride the River boats, catch a river parade, etc. Generally, it's not cold in Fall or Winter until December. Also, Fiesta is a great time to visit! Watch PBS on demand to see Joseph Rosendo's 2 trips to San Antonio!

Boat tours cost money but will let you see more without walking as much. Moat of the restaurants/bars are pricey, but mice and several are unique. Anywhere you park in the city is going to cost you. The Riverfront mall has a parking garage with options based on time and can be a better deal depending on where you are going. Most parking areas are not cast, they are pay by phone.

Head towards the "Museum Reach" area of the River Walk to The Pearl. There are lots of good restaurants there and shopping. Past The Pearl you will find the Witte Museum and the Smoke Shack. Both are worth your time. A good place to eat along the River Walk is Ocho and Tre Trattoria (which is attached to the San Antonio Art Museum).

Such a beautiful hotel. The luxury, furniture, colours, so nice and clean it looked. Many places to sit out and inside. The little lights, trees and plants between them: it was such a relief after te Hilton South Padre yesterday. Same price, 100 times better. Also a charming short walk to the river walk where one finds such a charming city Center and many restaurants. Nice staff, all smiles and pulling maps ; great. The room is big, original lay out, and the pool is great.
The place was perfect, Mina was very friendly and helped us with everything we needed. Very good service. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel smelled very nice and was clean. It was also 2 minutes from the river walk.
We chose this hotel due to the 2 queen + sofa bed room. It was just what our family of five needed.
Not far from the river walk.
Parking in the street is cheap and on Sunday it's free.
Very nice place and the front lady was very nice and friendly. Old fashion style hotel and super close to river walk. Really liked and enjoyed my visit to San Antonio Downtown.
The location is great for the River Walk.
The staff is helpful and friendly.
The hotel has been kept updated.
The breakfast offerings were good.
I would definitely stay there again.
Pool area was nice given the location. Eating options were varied and of good quallity.
The bar staff and gentlemen working during our stay was excellent.
The location was good. The city centre was easily reached from the hotel, but The Marriot was a lot quieter than the downtown area and a lot cheaper. Plus didn't have to pay crazy valet parking rates in the city centre hotels. We were glad we had chosen to stay there for our 2 nights, rather than the hotels around the river walk.
