The most popular Wales seaside resort, Llandudno covers a peninsula with 2 sandy coastlines. The North Shore’s wide Victorian promenade is lined with period buildings which now house seafront hotels and guest houses. The beach itself stretches all the way between the Little Orme and Great Orme headlands, passing an outdoor swimming pool.
A historic tram climbs to the peak of Great Orme, where Bronze Age copper mines can be visited. The top is also reachable by cable car from Happy Valley, a recreation area with gardens and an artificial ski slope.
A road runs around the base of the headland passing the historic Grand Hotel, a property available on Booking.com and overlooking the Grade II-listed pier – the longest in Wales. The West Shore is much less developed and the Maesdu Golf Course forms most of its shoreline.
Of course, Llandudno has its fair share of traditional seaside pursuits such as donkey rides and fish and chip shops.
The town also has a modern retail park near the train station and Venue Cymru event centre, and wrought-iron canopies shade smaller shops along Mostyn Avenue, Broadway and Street. The latter - Mostyn Street - is effectively the high street and becomes brightly decorated during the Victorian carnival in May.

A lot has changed in Llandudno since i lived there. Very clean wherever I went and some great places to eat and drink in.
I have always rated the north prom which is where my hotel was located with the stunning bay capturing the Orme / pier and little Orme.
Good to see a few of the hotels are having work done to them. This will mean that the area will remain as it is with plenty of character.

LLandudno is ideal for day trips or short, perhaps two day, visits. There are bus services to other locations so visits to other towns are possible if Llandudno becomes dull. There is not a lot to do, I found.
If you are feeling fit, the walk to the top of the Great Orme takes around an hour with a coffee shop on the top. If walking is not an option you can take the tram up and/or down, which is recommended. The car park at the top is a bit expensive. There is also a service bus to the top.
Jackie and Dave were just wonderful hosts. They couldn’t do enough to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The location is wonderful for restaurants, shopping, the waterfront and the Orme tramway. The room was tastefully decorated and very homey.
The location is great for visiting the very close, walled city of Conwy and for exploring the Snowdonia National Forest. The drive on the Devil’s Spine from Llandudno to Cardiff was brilliant!
Suburb b&b. Spotless, comfortable, warm welcome.

We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Llandudno.
Room was very clean and cleaned daily during our 3 night stay, location great, dog friendly, free parking outside was an important factor when considering the hotel. We did meet the cleaning staff when passing who were absolutely super, very friendly. Check in was quick, beds very comfortable.
Staff was lovely, we had a double room with sea view and breakfast included, our room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed! staff was happy for us to leave luggage at the hotel while we explored Llandudno, this is the second time staying here, and would definitely stay here again!
We've had a really lovely break on Llandudno promenade. A treat to be able to enjoy these victorian grade 1and 2 listed sea front hotels, with their lovely sea views. Long may it continue. Peter went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable and happy. Neither of us wanted to leave!
Location, you can’t ask for much more, right on the front, it’s got some private parking but no hotel in Llandudno has enough so no complaints, didn’t remember the receptionists name but she was absolute Top Class on pre check in and check in and deserves 5 stars
You cannot fault this for the price. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a 24 parking area right outside (not linked to the hotel) It was clean, affordable and central to Llandudno.
The little extras like hot chocolate were an added bonus ☺️
