The property was central for all amenities. The staff could do enough for you. We arrived really early and was willing to leave our luggage and go out, however the receptionist checked our room and it was ready and gave us early access. They recommended several restaurants for us to try. None of them disappointed either and was excellent value for money.

A darling of Shakespeare, beautiful Verona is the literary home of Romeo and Juliet. The medieval families of Montague and Capulet immortalised in the tragic play did actually exist and some buildings relating to the Montagues are still present.
Sorry to disappoint, but the place purporting to have been Juliet's house in Verona was not actually where she lived. However, it’s still worth suspending reality for a while and stepping out onto the balcony to see if Romeo turns up.
Another of the must-see Verona sights is the Arena, a largely intact Roman amphitheatre which is now the spectacular setting for outdoor summer operas. Smaller Roman relics include the stone bridge that crosses the river by the Roman theatre whose remains are partly beneath a house.
The city’s narrow streets house many cafes and restaurants which offer cheaper fare than the touristy ones by the Arena, although admittedly the views are less impressive. Life in Verona is laidback and elegant, so expect to see some well-heeled Italians on a post-dinner passeggiata.
Verona Airport is a little out of town, so you’ll need to take a bus to get to your Verona hotel, apartment or B&B. Book with Booking.com for the best choice.
It was recommended to me and I'm so glad I went.
It has it all in a compact city. It's historic with beautiful views and historic buildings especially the colloseum, arena, and its square. The shopping precinct off this square is great, a smaller neater version of Milan without the crowds. It's a beautiful town to walk around with wide terraces and fewer cars making it very people friendly.
Who doesn't know Romeo and Juliet.
If I was redoing Italy, I'd skip Rome and Milan and do Verona and Florence, so much character without the hassle of hustlers etc
Give it a go

Verona has many historic places to include on a visit to the city, including the Arena. There are also great restaurants and plenty of shopping for anyone so inclined. There were lots of tourists, but it did not feel overwhelming. We highly recommend Ristorante Greppia and La Finestrella for dinners. Both recommended by our hosts.

Very clean city with wider main streets than expected.
Very clean city with wider main streets than expected. Doesn't have the traffic mayhem of Mlan. Lots to do within easy reach of town. Try and get to a concert either at the Arena or Opera House - both walking distance from main Piazza.Good clothes shopping. I ate at Emanuel Cafe on Piazza Bra on several occasions and was not disappointed by food or service . Hop on Off bus is always a good way to start.

A city littered with beautiful buildings and sights.
A city littered with beautiful buildings and sights. Plenty of cultural attractions, particularly music, and lively, bustling squares and alleyways. More than enough attractions, restaurants, shops, concerts etc to keep a visitor happy for a week (or a lifetime!)

Beautiful city..did not spend enough time sightseeing.
Beautiful city..did not spend enough time sightseeing.
Definitely planning a return in the near future.
Missed out on so much, due to moving on to Lake Garda.
Planning to definitely stay at Kings B&B on our return. Plan is not to book flights until we have confirmation Kings can accommodate us while we’re there.
Very close to the train station. Well maintained and renovated facilities. Friendly staff. Google Maps might show a long and incorrect walk route from the station. When you get out of the station, just go to the far left of the sidewalks towards the hotel. There are both stairs and wheel chair accessible ramps towards the hotel. The bus station in front of the station is really good for travellers. The 10 Euro day pass covers the whole Verona, Garda Lake and the airport shuttle for the next day (even after the day pass expires at midnight).
extremely clean everywhere! The room was bright and comfortable and well equipped. The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel where you can catch the bus into Verona and the main reception explained clearly which bus to take and how to get back to the hotel. They even sell bus tickets which are extremely cheap. We stayed here three nights and really enjoyed seeing Verona and Lake Garda. There is plenty of parking and also underground parking to stop your car baking in the hot sun.
tommaso night porter an absolute gentleman, and needs recognition. polite and friendly and a big help to guest from padraig and roisin thanks.
the cleaners clean rooms daily brilliant to know. place is nice and relaxed. 25min walk to verona buses at walking distance. bus to train station and airport from there. local bus to lake garda too so convenient. hotel modernise and think doing more renovations while we stayed and bathroom was good quality too.
We had been staying in the Dolomites for a week and then just finished our Italian trip staying just 3 days in Verona so that we could go to see the Opera Rigoletto in the open air Roman Arena. The boutique hotel was really lovely with stylish furnishings. The bathroom was modern and fully fitted out. We had breakfast that included really delicious pastries made on the premises by a very pleasant lady who also served us our breakfast.
This stunning small hotel was a highlight of my Italy trip! Decorated in modern Italian, antiques and kitsch with a lovely breakfast spread. The bed was so comfy I did not want to leave. Staff was welcoming and fun as I tried to use my basic Italian-- they, of course, spoke perfect English. Verona is a sweet town.
everything! location couldn’t be better for Verona sight seeing, staff was so accommodating that it felt like a 5 star hotel. Anything we needed was provided promptly, rooftop bar has the coolest view in the entire city. Wish I was still there, until next time I guess
Our stay was simply outstanding! Absolutely every need was taken care of - it was better than a 5 star hotel. So many special touches to add to the comfort and make guests feel special. Trust me, you won't find better in Verona.... no matter how much you pay!
Greatest hotel in Italy on our road trip thru Italy!! amazing modern room, great pillows, air condition was great, extremely polite stuff, great food and vine. Definitely will come back :) stunning lobby and restaurant. Great safety place to park.
well appointed, well decorated rooms with a luxurious feel. lovely breakfast, fresh, everything warm, (nothing in wrapped plastic — a plus for italy as too often this is standard practice). completely charming and just right on all levels.
Difficult to rate this hotel. Some staff was very friendly, some other very unfriendly. The hotel itself shows everywhere the splendour of a good past which is long, long time gone. But this happens to 80% of the hotels in Italy!
Alberto was very helpful and friendly. Went out of his way to make our Verona stay and the rest of our stay in Italy amazing! Marco was very welcoming, even getting in after midnight after a very long travel in.
Beautiful modern boutique hotel set in stunning country gardens with a pool and great staff: all a 15 minute stroll down the hill to the old town of Verona. Perfect for a city break with added luxury.
a lovely little Boutique-hotel at convenient location between train station and Old town of Verona - all town-attractions are in walking distance / nice room and cozy atmosphere / friendly staff
Beautiful and cozy room, and the most complete breakfast I've eaten so far in my trip in Italy. Virginia doesn't speak much English, but she is very friendly, nice and makes herself understood.
The staff were very nice and helpful. They recommended restaurants that were the best meals we have had in Italy. The location is perfect and the view of the city from our room was great.
Host was very helpful and provided insight into local must-see spots. Room was super comfortable and cleanest in Italy so far. Breakfast was tasty & plentiful. Will stay again soon.
The welcome by our host to a beautiful apartment in lovely Verona. We will recommend visiting Verona and this apartment to all our friends visiting Italy.
