U Suites on Rongatai Road was fantastic. We booked quite last minute as our flight had been cancelled and we needed somewhere close to the airport to stay for the evening. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. We were close to a bus line that went straight into the city so that we could explore before our flight left the next day. It was also close to a bus stop that the airport express bus also stopped at. Very pleased :-)

It is an older hotel and the furnishings though clean and comfortable are not fancy. There was no air conditioning, but that is not uncommon for New Zealand and the windows opened and gave a nice breeze.
