Everything about this apartment was amazing. I can’t recommend it enough. The setting is beyond spectacular, well worth the extra drive from Funchal. The village is quaint and friendly, with a food market just up the street and beautiful trails nearby. The apartment is large, yet still cozy, and well maintained. And the hosts are wonderful. I can’t say enough about this apartment. It exceeded my expectations in every way. I’m hoping to be back as soon as possible.

When we first entered the appartment and opened windows wonderful jazz sounds from the park outside fulfilled all appartment. You just can sit and enjoy music and views with the glass of complimentary welcome wine. Highly recommend this property: central location, huge appartment, comfortable beds, very clean, full kitchen equipment, iron and iron desk. Easy communication with the owner. This 4-star Funchal hotel is situated just 100 metres from the Atlantic Ocean. It offers 5 swimming pools, 4 restaurants and modern accommodation with kitchenettes and balconies. We enjoyed NYE on property...............great amenities and location. Free shuttle to stadium for the fireworks show.

Praia Formosa and Madeira Shopping Forum are within 30 min walk (involves some uphill walk on the way back) - Gorgeous sea view from the room and the terrace (the upside of being on a hill!) - Twin Room as shown on picture, has a kitchentte with stovetop and cooking utensils

Set in tropical gardens overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the Suite Hotel Eden Mar - Porto Bay features a lagoon-style outdoor pool. We liked the room, the breakfast was tasty and with a lot of options, the dinner too. We didn't use all the facilities the hotel offers but it offers many.

The staff. I think the name of the guy in the reception was named Hugo. He was excelent, and the welcome we got from Vera at the breakfast was also very Good. The location was also really Good. We brought an 8 months old baby and there was no problem getting around.
