Wir hatten eine Wohnung mit phänomenalem Blick auf den Fjord und die Eismeerkathedrale. Alles noch ganz neu, dadurch teilweise noch etwas spartanisch eingerichtet ( Kleiderschränke fehlten), aber dennoch durch nichts zu übertreffen. Bei Problemen war immer sofort jemand zur Stelle. Das Personal war super nett.

In our case, this included driving hours in the middle of the night, in the snow, to see the Northern Lights - unimaginable hospitality!! The location is wonderful, with the waterfall immediately behind the guest house, and great views of it from the common areas as well as from our bedroom. It's a good base for exploring the area, including the Polar Park, and for us was an excellent stop off point between Lofoten and Tromso. The guest house is as described - everything needed is provided (fully equipped kitchen, complimentary coffee, juice, etc). We had a double en-suite room upstairs which was spacious, comfy and clean with good heating and stunningly close view of the waterfall from the bed.

Die Unterkunft Steam Pier, die 12 km von University of Tromsø entfernt gelegen ist, bietet Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten mit kostenlosem WLAN und kostenlosen Privatparkplätzen. A nice place in a convenient location - both if you have a rented car or if you use public transport. As for details - I stayed in an apartment with a sea view (apartment for two people). I know the Tromsø area well, so when choosing Steam Pier I knew where it was located and how to get to places such as the airport, etc. My apartment was in the main building (let's say - "the brown one"), which is shown in the photos. The room and bathroom were very clean. Everything was ok, but I agree with other people's comments - there is a bit of a lack of storage space - if the assumption was that there was no space for a wardrobe or a chest of drawers in the room, it would be nice to equip the apartment with at least some hangers (in the apartment I lived in, there were hangers placed on the bathroom door - ok for jackets, but not enough ;)). It would probably increase the comfort during longer stays - for me (stay for 1 night) it didn't matter that much. But regardless - Steam Pier is a very nice place, with its own parking lot, and check-in is super easy. As for the views - they are one of the biggest advantages:) I recommend!

The place is sparkling clean, kitchen and bathroom are well-equipped. Cosy and Warm. Make a cup of hot tea, and look over the amazing night view of the city and river. I couldn’t ask for more. We had a very happy stay in Martha’s place.

Die Unterkunft Two bedroom apartment near the city centre. Ist gelegen in Tromsø, 600 m von The Fram Centre und 500 m von Polaria sowie 1,2 km von The Art Museum of Northern Norway entfernt. This little gem of an apartment was perfect in Tromso, the owner Veronica provided all the details on email the day before, local advice and tips as well that helped us see the lights on our first night at Telegrafbutka beach, fantastic advice! Our suitcase was broken when we arrived in Tromso, I emailed Veronica who responded within a couple of minutes advising exactly where I could buy a new case to get us home, such fantastic service. The apartment is perfect, we had our own lovely breakfast and made our own meals, the 2 bedrooms perfect and they provide everything you could need, slippers, toilet roll, loads of towels, a picnic set, fluorescent vests, shower robes etc, they have covered it all! The apartment is lovely and warm and was for our entire stay, bus stop is directly outside on the other side of the road, just buy a week long ticket and jump on to the city centre or Tekegrafbutka beach or they are a 10- 20 minute walk, we got the bus in and walked back each day, just perfect. Highly recommend this apartment and want to say a big thank you to Veronica for our wonderful stay!

The house comes with great facilities and a huge smart TV, good for those prefer to stay in the house due to cold temperature at some times. This location is good to take aurora photos with igloo as foreground and flying drone when no wind issue.
