The location is great, out in the countryside and so peaceful!! Our host Fiona really took time out to make us welcome and even provided a high tea when we arrived. Breakfast was all we could expect and the room also has a great view across the countryside. Our bedroom was well appointed and the bed itself was great. As a result, we had the best nights sleep for days.

The friendliest welcome from a perfect gent. Couldn't be more attentive. Room was lovely size to the front of the property. Comfortable and clean room. All the little details, fantastic, even an umbrella in the room. They seem to have considered everything for their visitors. Breakfast was to a very high standard. Taking personal preferences into account. Great place to stay, a traditional B&B.

It felt comfortable straight away, from Nicola's friendly welcome to the beautiful room & bathroom. Everything was quality....furniture, fittings & products. Nothing was a bother, putting our things in her fridge, providing water bottles daily, refilling tea bags & biscuits daily. Oronsay was in a perfect position to explore not only Alnwick but the surrounding areas. Alnwick is a beautiful market town with lots to see & do.

Location perfect for the town and the castle so car not required unless wanting to go further out. Lovely cooked breakfasts although a full choice offered if cereals etc are preferred Would highly recommend

Just outside the old gate into the town with easy walks into town where there was a wide selection of restaurants and cafes as well as shops, to the theatre/cinema a few yards away and out to Barter Books and the park. Parking next door in The Plough car park works well and as it was raining when we arrived being able to pause in the drive near our entrance whilst bags were unloaded was helpful. The room was compact but adequate. All clean and tidy. Our room at the back was quiet.

Great location near the Castle, but quiet, great choice of breakfast and the bistro was lovely for evening meal, beautiful food and dining room. The staff were exceptional, particularly the lovely lady who served us breakfast and supplied us with a great pack up for our walk. Would highly recommend.
