Boasting a garden, restaurant, bar and free WiFi, Three Horseshoes Leamside is set in Houghton le Spring, 14 km from Beamish Museum and 18 km from Stadium of Light. This is such a little gem! We stayed in Room 5. Beautifully decorated, thoroughly cleaned, a fabulous nights sleep and breakfast was exceptional (Compliments to the Chef!!). Daryl was very welcoming, as were the front house staff through to housekeeping. You will not be disappointed when you stay here!

We were in town for a concert May 2023, and staying at South Shore Guest House was like visiting godparents on a school holiday - warm, welcoming, cozy, and caring. The best part was our hostess Lorraine’s charming stories over the hearty homemade breakfasts that she and her husband prepared for all the guests each morning. The town of South Shields is a dreamy, friendly community by the sea, and this B&B is in the perfect spot for strolling to and fro from the diverse restaurants & stores to the excellent dog watching at the pier. Also, super convenient to find from the train station. I can’t recommend a stay there enough; 10/10.

Good location for an event we were attending at the Rugby Club. Very secure with coded entrance and key safe box. Spacious room, clean and comfy with towels and linen provided. Good sized en suite shower room. Great to have the option of a shared lounge/kitchen area as well. Plenty of places to eat/drink right on the doorstep.

Less than 10 minutes’ walk from South Shields’ beach and Ocean Beach Pleasure Park, this 3-star guest house offers free Wi-Fi access. The host was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was perfect with lots of options, kept me going until tea time. I particularly liked the little extras in the room such as an iron and hygiene items

Situata in una strada residenziale, questa grande residenza vittoriana dista solo 2 minuti a piedi dal centro, dai parchi e dalle spiagge di South Shields. Great location for sea front. Good clean accommodation, friendly owners, lovely well cooked breakfast with plenty of choice. Quiet room. Had a lovely stay, we will definitely be back.

A solo 1 minuto a piedi dalla splendida spiaggia di Whitley Bay, la Sandsides Guest House offre camere con TV a schermo piatto e WiFi gratuito. Al mattino vi attende una ricca colazione all'inglese. Posto molto caratteristico, che rispecchia una tipica casa inglese. Curato e pulito. Rebecca è stata una padrona di casa simpatica, gentilissima e disponibile, sempre pronta a soddisfare le richieste del cliente. Se torno a Whitley Bay, sicuramente tornerò al Sandside Guest House ! Very characteristic place, which reflects a typical English house. Neat and clean. Rebecca was a friendly, very kind and helpful hostess, always ready to satisfy the customer's requests. If I return to Whitley Bay, I will definitely stay at Sandside Guest House!
