We stayed in Room 5. Beautifully decorated, thoroughly cleaned, a fabulous nights sleep and breakfast was exceptional (Compliments to the Chef!!). Daryl was very welcoming, as were the front house staff through to housekeeping. You will not be disappointed when you stay here!

The accommodation was very central to everything. The hosts were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. We got an early check-in which was great as we'd been travelling from the night before.

Very secure with coded entrance and key safe box. Spacious room, clean and comfy with towels and linen provided. Good sized en suite shower room. Great to have the option of a shared lounge/kitchen area as well. Plenty of places to eat/drink right on the doorstep.

Situated just less than 1 km from Sandhaven Beach, The Clifton offers accommodation in South Shields with access to a terrace, a bar, as well as a housekeeping service. Wonderful welcoming little family hotel - the intro materials when I got to my room explained who every character was. Lovely breakfast downstairs in the cafe and only a few mins walk to the beach. Highly recommend.
