Such a welcoming family that does everything possible to make the guests feel at home. I got food poisoning on one of the days and they took great care of me. I needed to stay some extra nights but they were fully booked, so they even offered for me to sleep on the sofa for free! Highly recommend this beautiful home.

The location was very central, exactly where you want to be if you are staying in Iquitos as a launching pad into the jungle. The view from the rooms are stunning. Nothing like waking up to the sunrise over the river. Chip was an excellent host and very helpful when it came to tips for what to do, where to go and what to expect for my jungle adventure.

Really recommend, check in close at 10:30 but due to bus from Lima being late they let me in at 2 AM , and let me stay in the room until 14:30 instead of 11 , very kind people , little house perfect for waiting for the boat ! The owner was the best let us check in early and check out late and was so helpful and friendly. As for the accomadation was amazing value. Air con, comfy clean beds, working en suite. Had everything you need for the price I was very relaxed and content. 100% reccomend

The hostel is in a beautiful traditional house at about 1/2 hour walk from the center (beware of motortaxi drivers who will tell you all sorts of lies to convince you to go to another hotel of their choice so they can get a commission). The room, living room and kitchen are new and well organized and equipped. Sarisa is a wonderful host who will help you in any way and can advise you about tours in the jungle, etc.

Amazon House Hostel is located in Iquitos, an 8-minute drive from the main square. The property features a terrace and offers free WiFi. The family that run the hostel are extremely friendly and accommodating, especially Carlos. I stayed in a private room with double bed which was excellent value, really comfortable bed and en-suite
