The setting is amazing - beautiful views straight out to sea, with sand at your feet. The meadows surrounding the huts are lovely, and it felt like the perfect balance of nature and comfort. The huts are very sweet and the bed really comfortable. The toilets and showers and clean and practical. It was easy to get to - a 30 mins walk from the train station, or a bus from Halmstad. The staff were really helpful - they even lent us a couple of bikes so we could make the most of the lovely cycling paths around the area - we went to the brilliant Simstadion Brottet, a free open-air swimming pool just around the bay.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Wifi was reliable. Gym was reasonably well-equipped and had great views. Outdoor rooftop bar was also great to watch the sunset (not that it really sets in late June).

The castle looks good from the outside with a big garden. Breakfast is very tasty and fresh and everything seems to be locally produced.
