Looking for a capsule hotel?

Developed in Japan, these cheap “pod” hotels are a novelty for any traveler. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodations are basic and intended to be overnight. There's separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms. Some capsule hotels also have a sentō – a Japanese bath house, usually for male guests only.

The location of this Capsule hotel is perfect. Opposite the MRT means you have a direct connection to both Changi Airport and the city centre. The capsule itself was clean and comfortable with excellent air conditioning. I would recommend getting a double capsule as they are more comfortable. The staff were friendly and the WiFi worked well.

Staff were attentive and helpful. Good basic breakfast with cornflakes, toast & variety of spreads and pots of tea and coffee. Access to unlimited boiling water all day. Sleeping pods were surprisingly roomy and comfy with privacy curtains. A 10 minute walk to train station. Restaurants and cheap eats everywhere, including hawker centre 5 min walk. Quiet and convenient. Would definitely stay again.

I like the simplicity and quality of the towel, the sheets, pillow, tissue, duvet. It was very comfortable for a bunk bed. They have a privacy curtain around each bunk, can barely hear anything. It was very very comfortable and it's a good first time experience with a hostel concept. They also have dryer and washer facility, vending machine, coin changer for the dryer and washer and oh goodness they have bidet!! A rarity in Singapore! Quite ample space to chill, outside the room.

Really friendly staff, free good wifi and also all the time coffee and tea available. Clean hotel and great location. They text you in advance how to get there (with the Downtown line) but you can also check the train via Maxwell station. It's in Chinatown so you have a lot of stores and food around. In the capsule you have a tv screen and more. Even a small box for your values that you lock with your room key - really convenient! And you have quite good room in the capsule.

Staff was very friendly. Had someone sick in the bunk bed and they relocated me, no questions asked. Also allowed me to leave my suitcase at the hotel and even take a final shower before taking my flight back home. Hotel is very clean and probably as good as a capsule hotel gets.

I had my own bathroom which is better than my friend who stayed in a capsule hotel, but the "room" part of the word "bathroom" is generous. Water provided. Vending machine just out the front of the hotel with cold drinks, which isn't really a plus for the hotel, but it was at least convenient.. Can you tell I am struggling on this section. Here we fam:

Backpacker Cozy Corner Guesthouse is a good budget option in Singapore, with an excellent location close to the public transport. The rooms were small but offered good value for money, particularly when compared to similarly priced capsule hotels. The staff was friendly and responsive, contributing to a positive experience. The air conditioning and Wi-Fi worked well in the room, and the place was clean enough for a comfortable stay.
