Our whole stay was like a dream. The room was cosy and spacious. We really enjoyed our time in the sauna after returning from the ski slopes. All the staff were absolutely kind and helpful, Diana, Thomas and Kamilla went out of their way to provide excellent service and make our stay memorable. Furthermore, what I also have to highlight is the catering. Thanks to Chef Daniel, we were treated like a king. Varied and extremely delicious food was served for dinner every night. In addition to the salad buffet, mouth-licking soups, entrees and a choice of 3 main courses ( always including a vegetarian option and fish ) and a dessert were on offer. I was overwhelmed by the way food was served as well, so I would definitely give 5 *s for the taste and the look. My special requests - due to food allergy - were accommodated duly as well. It was the first time for us here, but we hope to return and we definitely recommend this lovely hotel.

Very Austrian and whilst I am Austrian, I have been out of the country for 46 years. Hotel Dachstein is simply a typical Austrian venue which both my wife and I love

Lovely village, perfect for a short break. Downhill skiing is limited but perfect for beginners with excellent ski school and easily accessible nursery slope. Several red and blue runs through the trees, but unfortunately we were too late in the season so snow was poor. Great base for walking. Plenty of accommodation on offer, but we enjoyed the flexibility of the comfortable Lieblingsplatz Aparthotel.

Nice place in Summer, but 2 or 3 days would have been enough. Not many restaurants or shops and limited opening hours in Summer. We felt it was very expensive: 5 Euros for an Americano is more expensive than in London, and it was not made by a barista, just a standard machine.

Filzmoos is a great location to stay, located at the middle of Salzburg area.
The place is great for winter activities but not less for summer attractions.
I especially want to recommend to do some hiking on the mountains surrounding the area.

Very good hiking and biking in summertime.
Very good hiking and biking in summertime. We had visited the town before in winter for cross country skiing that we also very nice with a unique track at higher elevation (and thus scenery).
For this summer stay we did some nice hikes, many choices at all levels and distances and… great huts for a break, lunch, etc.
We saw many (mountain)bikers too, did not do this but if we had known upfront certainly would have considered it.

Beautiful typical landscaped house, rooms with mountain views. The owner Elisabeth is a very pleasant, nice and helpful person, with good knowledge of English. We appreciated the spaciousness and comfort of the apartment, excellent amenities, and cleanliness. The advantage is the proximity of the tour bus stop and Infocenter and good opportunities for hiking. The wide range of fresh food in the local market was also surprising.

Typical peaceful alpine village.
Typical peaceful alpine village. Petrol station, shopping, ATM is available.
If you arrived back from hiking lately and need some food, the pizzeria open up to 22:00.
The Dachstein cable car is about 20 min. with car. The road quality is excellent.
Lot of hiking trails in the neighborhood.
The hotel is right in the middle of the ski village with ski rentals, ski schools and slopes all a few steps away. The head server and bartender Herr Heike made us feel so welcome and took great care of us. Try his signature cocktail garnished with rosemary and pomegranate seeds. The hot lunch spread in the bar area was perfect to get the kids fed easily mid ski day. Staff were friendly, spoke English perfectly and helpful.
The property has a beautiful view of the village. We loved the views out our windows and on the balcony to the mountains. The house is very cozy with natural wood and pellet heat. We loved sitting in the kitchen area eating and visiting as a family. The ski shops, bakery, and supermarket are an easy walk from the house.
We loved our stay there. Louise is the best host I have ever met. She is very kind and brings a family vibe to the stay. She also helped us a lot to set ski lessons and also where to ski on the resort.
The town is small but very charming. It has everything you need for a good ski trip. I will definitely come back.
This was one of two properties I had shortlisted & so pleased I chose this one. It is super clean & comfy & amazing views! Lovely breakfast & special mention to Patrick who was so welcoming & helpful & even recommend a great hike for me on my arrival day. Highly recommend this hotel.
Excellent location, and incredibly friendly and kind hosts. Willing to cope with our struggles with Austrian German and very, very accommodating. Provided good information on the area and were flexible to our needs. Room was very clean and maintained every day.
We had a great stay with our 2 kids and a dog in spacious apartment. Everything was just perfect. Apartment was clean and well equiped, beds comfortable. Breakfests and all the meals served in the hotel restaurant were very good. The staff was very kind.
Perfect location. Modern facilities. Delicious meals at the on-site restaurant!
Overall, the Filzmoos town amazed me with its beautiful scenery, plentiful hiking routes, and the little streak that sings and glistens throughout the town. Just how lovely.
One of the best hotel I have booked, very clean and large room with very beautiful view.
The staff is gentle and i forget my apple watch and they called me to back. Very recommended, romantic place. Also the give us merci chocolate 🍫 so nice.
Fairly close to the ski chairlift although I’d recommend driving as the ski bus is infrequent and it’s a long walk for most people. Reasonably priced accommodation for Filzmoos which can be expensive compared to other resorts in the area.
Very nice apartment, equipped with everything needed for a ski holiday.
House easily accessible, close to the main road, but far enough to be peaceful and silent.
Private parking place always available. Host very polite and helpful.
Lovely stay. Unfortunately we had to leave earlier than expected due to sickness of the children but we will definitely come back. The place has everything for a family and the hospitality is fantastic.
The size of the apartment is really comfortable and bigger than most. Great view , big terrace, close to ski bus. Kitchen utensils were really great. The host was very friendly and accommodating.
I dont say this lightly, but this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The breakfast was outstanding, room very comfortable, staff very friendly and helpful. Location beautiful.
We had a perfect holidays: large and comfortable apartment close to Filzmoos center, but on a quite street. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. Surroundings are spectacular.
