Wonderful view & beautiful facilities. Very nice and helpful staff. The beach nearby is beautiful and there's very few people there. Ask them to book a tour with Bahia, they are great.

The hosts were super nice, friendly and accommodating. Wilma stayed in my cabin to look after my pets one night so that I could go kayaking and see the bioluminescence in the harbor. You cannot beat this kind of customer care! Franco buit me a bonfire twice during my stay. You just have to ask and Wilma and Frano will do their best to accommodate you.The site itself is super quiet. I only had to look up to see monkeys, parrots and a great variety of birds. The kitchen was well equiped. I loved every minute of my stay there. Going to the beach was an adventure and my dogs loved the walk there. They struggled a bit crossing the river over a suspended log, but that was part of the adventure:)
I only want to add that this is rough camping, simple and secluded. If this is what you are looking for, you will be in heaven.

The staff was fantastic and pointed out several wildlife present. Want sure about it when we pulled in but it was a wonderful authentic Costa Rican experience, close to bioluminescence kayak tour and wild life preserve. Could've stayed much longer.

This apartment was just off the main street but it was quiet. The lane it is on wends its way down to a small stream so there were lots of birds. We also loved the chickens and their babies scratching in the grass and the roosters crowing in the morning . Lovely to have access to stores and restaurants and still feel you are not in a city.
Good location: near to the ferry, bioluminescence tours and to curú wildlife reserve.
We loved our hotel and would stay there again. "Rustic" but also charming and with a friendly staff. We took the Tortuga Island snorkeling trip through Bahia Rica and highly recommend that company. The boat took us to several islands to see beautiful wildlife and gorgeous scenery. We also took a bioluminescence tour which was very fun.

We chose Paquera for the boat trip to Isle of Tortuga.
We chose Paquera for the boat trip to Isle of Tortuga. We booked through Project Expedition Bahiarica and were very happy with our day on the boat with snorkeling and some time on the island. We went to breakfast and dinner at several restaurants there in Paquera and we’re happy with all of them. The beach at Playa Giganitis was amazing with lots of monkeys in the trees at the end of the beach. The town itself is small with few motels but plenty of restaurants and gorgeous beaches. The people were very friendly!

Three days and four nights was perfect for us.
Three days and four nights was perfect for us. There's honestly not a lot to do in Paquera, but it was a great place to be. Nice local vibe, less tourists than other areas. It has a real local feel to it.

Paquera is crossroads town and a good place to catch the ferry back to Puntarenas if you're coming from Montezuma. There is a lot of traffic in town and it's very dusty but they are paving as of Feb. 2020. Swimming in bio-luminescent waters is a truly amazing experience and worth the stop here. However, beware of the food place at Organo Beach. Be sure you get a quote for whatever you order. We didn't and it was by far our most expensive meal in all of Costa Rica! It was yummy but not worth the exorbitant price we paid.

Didn’t spend time in the town but outside of town was pretty special. Bioluminescence night kayaking was the reason we came here. It was a cool experience to kayak at night, watching both the incredible visibility of the stars above and the sparkling flourescence below.
