This 4-star hotel offers a historic atmosphere, romantic restaurant and traditional wine cellar. It lies outside the Bavarian city of Rosenheim, 1.9 mi from the city center and main railway station.

This property is absolutely amazing and offers a unique and interesting experience. You do get the feeling of staying in a medieval castle.
Completely renovated in 2014, this country hotel is located in Rosenheim.

It was a traditional Bavarian hotel with beautiful carved wood etchings. The food was amazing large portions, and the price was very reasonable. We will definitely book this hotel again.
Located in Rosenheim, 18 miles from Erl Festival Theatre, Hotel Happinger Hof provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. This 3-star hotel offers a bar.

It’s a beautiful property. Spotless, well looked after, different than any place we ever stayed at. We arrived late, around 21:00. We were greeted by the front desk person who said “we were waiting for you, are you hungry ? We can get you some food”. I was speechless. During our travel through Europe we stayed in 9 different hotels. That includes Hilton and Radisson. Nobody greeted us like that.
We liked everything about this place. The hospitality, friendly staff, the room, decor and the amazing outdoor area. The food was delicious. We never had such a variety of food for breakfast.

We came to Rosenheim to visit family, but it is a charming small city with quaint city center and lovely surrounding countryside. We enjoyed the walking trails along the river within sight of the alps. We enjoyed local festivals and good food. We used it as a launching point to visit Munich and Oberammergau, Germany; Vienna and Kufstein, Austria; and Florence/Tuscany, Italy by train.

Only stayed one night.
Only stayed one night. It is a good hotel, with a restaurant serving local dishes and big pints of beer (if you are so inclined) :-) We enjoyed our stay and can recommend this hotel as an "etappe* for driving to the skiing slopes in Austria. In summer apparently one is not too far away from a huge lake, so I can imagine that must be quite nice as well. Internet could have been better. It was rather weak in the ground room where we were staying. The lighting also was of the "indirect" kind and was a bit gloomy, but otherwise everything was correct and the room was HUGE :-) We'll definitely stay there again.

Visiting in winter.
Visiting in winter.
Not much to do and everything closes quite early.
We also travlled without a car and had to rely on PT, busses end early on weekend and a bit hard to do much.
There is a shopping centre and a cinema but not any museums or sightseeing in the town.
Food is good and cheap and there is some shopping.
If you are coming especially for a Europe trip, I would skip Rosenheim as there are more exciting destinantions.

I had a wonderful time exploring again as it was 29 years since my last visit.
The only person who didn't help was the Male staff in ticket office in Rosenheim train station when we wanted tickets to munich.
If I could go again I'd be there tomorrow

Rosenheim is a nice city with interesting gastronomy, a nice city center and very good local brewery (Auerbräu). One could also have beautiful visits in the nearby region to close by lakes and the bavarian alps.
I loved the unique rooms and the history of the hotel. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Service and staff were also very good. Wish there were TV Chanel in language other than German. Shower and bath were excellent. Beds were very comfortable.
The restaurant is a fun splurge and has great food. My only complain was the parking. Very difficult to find a spot. They are building a parking garage that should help. All over great stay.
The hotel is very well-located in central Rosenheim, a lovely mid-sized city half-way between Munich and Salzburg. My room was a comfortable single-occupancy room with the odd addition of a separate, private bathroom two doors and about 10 yards (or meters) away from the bedroom operated with the same key.
The breakfast was well worth the 12 euros extra as the room was a great value. Many sights and lots of dining options nearby.
1, Most of the staff that we met were super friendly, easy to communicate and always ready to help.
2, High performance-price-ratio.
3, It provides even a play area for kids or in German Kinderspielplatz. My 2-years-old enjoyed playing there.
4, Location is great and several Gas stations can be reached by foot. We visited Chiemsee and afterwards Tegernsee. We stayed at this hotel.
Good location off the highway, but also walking distance to a variety of restaurants.
We spent the night in Rosenheim on our way back from Austria, and picked this hotel due to its location.
It was a very good choice.
Room for four was very functional, with bunk beds for the kids.
Staff was very friendly and directed us to the nearby parking.
Booked 2 rooms for an overnight stay as arriving late into Munich and travelling on to Southern Germany/ Austria for skiing. The hotel is a large modernised old coaching inn. Nice mix of traditional parts with modern facilities. Friendly staff and very good comprehensive buffet breakfast. Rooms large and clean. Good value for money.
Everything about the hotel is amazing, very clean , the rooms are beautiful,i have only a few things to add about the facilities in the room, there is no flip-flops, no robe ,no water, no coffe or tea in the room, sometimes that is quite important in a hotel that is situated next to the center .
The position is perfect as it is in front of a mall and just a 5 minutes from the main Square, where it is possible to find many restaurants. The hotel also offers two free parking. The room was spacious and clean, but if the hotel is a little bit aged.
I really like the hotel in general, and the room in particular. A lot of space and the hotel staff were very friendly.
Breakfast was very good, although nothing exceptional.
I am totally coming back to the hotel next time I am in Rosenheim.
The room was cosy with big bathroom. Parking dedicated to the hotel's guests. Refrigerator full of local beer ;-) and other drinks. Fantastic staff. Big restaurant with delicious German food. I really recommend this place!
Like i mentioned before, whenever i need to stay at a hotel near Rosenheim Ariadne is my first choice. Very clean rooms and a very nice and competent service that close to the Autobahn make s me a happy customer/tenant.
A 5G hotel!
What a perfectly anachronistic hotel this is.: "Hotel Wendelstein, a cosy city hotel in the heart of Rosenheim."
The hotel has existed since 1890 and today is in the fifth generation of the family.
The room was big and clean. Our room has a private terrace with a table and deck chair. The hotel has free parking in front of the building. There is also a restaurant.
Wi-Fi was free. Hotel was extremely clean and well-maintained. Great breakfast included in price. Very good restaurant next door.cheap, convenient parking.
