This is a fabulous boutique and we would highly recommend it. The staff were friendly and recommended exceptional places for lunch and dinner. They were out of this world! We initially booked the brand new hotel (Boutique Hotel Salvador) - but so happy we got to experience Villa Gala. We will definitely come back. Cadaques is simply gorgeous. Thank you for a wonderful few days.

Beautiful location with amazing view. Breakfast was delicious and served by Carla, who is delightful. I was really sick with a bad cold and she cancelled my reservation for me and allowed a refund. She didn’t have to do that but was compassionate about my condition. We left early and went home. We will come again and stay longer. You couldn’t ask for more congenial hosts. Carla, her brother and her dad are all hard at work making breakfast, running the front desk and being generally congenial. How can you not love them!

Cadaqués is a Spanish harbour town in north Catalonia on the beautiful Costa Brava, about a 2-hour drive from Barcelona. The white of the houses and the blue of the sky inspired many famous artists like Matisse, Picasso and Max Ernst, who decided to live there for a period of their life.
Featuring traditional Mediterranean architecture with narrow streets, a sophisticated atmosphere and a paradise bay with small fishing boats, the medieval town of Cadaqués is home to important churches and museums.
The world-renown surrealist painter Salvador Dali lived in Port Lligat, in a former fisherman's house with his everlasting love Gala. Today the house of Salvador Dali is open to the public and you can visit the artist’s atelier, the library and the garden.
Travellers should not miss the national park of Cap de Creus, the easternmost point of mainland Catalonia with a historic lighthouse built in 1853. This unique place is perfect for hiking or boat excursions.
The promenade area of Cadaqués has many local restaurants serving Catalan specialities. Booking.com will help you find a hotel, guest house or resort in the heart of this picturesque town and the nearby cities of Roses, Empúriabrava and Sant Pere Pescador.
Beautiful town and coastline. Exceedingly windy therefore cold but we went in April. Restaurants and supermarkets overpriced but lovely church, museum, little shops and steep windy streets to wander around. Twenty minute drive to get there winding back and forth through the mountains so not great if you get carsick.
Beautiful walks in all directions if you can brave the wind.

Cadaques is a small town, still with a lot of excellent small independent restaurants, design shops. It has some exquisite bays for swimming as well as exceptional scenery. everything is walking distance including the Salvador Dali home. If you like biking or trekking it is also a very good choice. Do not miss Cap de Creus natural reserve, where you can even have lunch or dinner. The food is always exceptional in Cadaques

Cadaques is a beautiful hidden gem.
Cadaques is a beautiful hidden gem. Most visitors have driven from neighbouring France or other parts of Spain, not many Brits abroad! It's a bustling and very family friendly town. Plenty of places to eat and drink and you can spend your days on the beach, doing watersports, visiting Dali's House, or at your hotel pool. Walking along the harbour at night is beautiful.

Cristall waters, small beach, good restaurant, nice shops, amazing bar. I Love Cadaques surrounded by beautiful nature reserves .
The best way to enjoy the sea is to rent a boat

Cadeques is a very quaint little village with lots of lovely cafes, eateries and bars. Their is lots to see and a lot of shops (if you like shopping?).
Not a place for high heals due to steep hills and uneven pavements but the place is full of people that like to promenade!. Very very busy place, lots of day trippers. All the beaches are small and rocky. A coastal walk is recommended to find a rare sandy (ish) beach. Picturesque and well worth a visit. Tourists predominately French

Plenty of eateries, although some were better than others.
Plenty of eateries, although some were better than others. Had a great trip round the bay on an old wooden sailing boat. Went to the Dali museum (booking advised) unbelievably amazing house. Also went to a butterfly farm which had many parrots.
The hotel has wonderful staff, it is modern, clean, everything works and nothing is a problem for the staff. This is our second visit. The hotel is physically located in a great part of Cadaques, right by the beach and a very pleasant 15 min walk to the centre along the beach. We prefer it to the hotels in the centre which are generally old, noisy and difficult to park. We will always come back to Sol Ixent when visiting Cadaques
We spent 2 great nights in hotel Calina in Port Ligat adjoining Cadaques which is a beautiful little town famous for Salvador Dali. It is a great place with a super pool to relax in with a lovely wee beach a couple of feet away. The hotel was very clean with great amenities and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic....so much choice!! Best we've ever had. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Parking was a great advantage. Our room wasn’t anything like the photos on Booking.com site but it was clean , the bed large and comfortable and rooms were calm.
Airconditioning was available. There wasn’t a refrigerator or water kettle to make tea/coffee but hotel location was convenient for cafes, restaurants and supermarkets.
Simple rooms. The hotel has a nice inside and outside sitting area. They provided free parking with sufficient space just across the street. The village is small. Most things are in walking distance. Roughly 5 minutes walk to the main street; 5 minutes walk to the old town; 5-10 minutes walk to the ocean.
Great location (easy to find and access, close to supermarket and restaurants, but far from the crowds and noise in the center), clean rooms, friendly and very helpful staff, own underground parking, temporary parking spot to load/unload your luggage close to the hotel.
Great helpful staff, especially Laura. Huge breakfast buffet. Many seating options inside or pool deck. Beautiful view of the small boat harbor. Parking right by hotel (gated). Minutes walk from Dali house museum. Bar, but no real restaurant in the hotel. Quiet room.
The hotel location was excellent , right in the center of Cadaques and a short walk to the sea . The staff was helpful . Finding the hotel itself was difficult . Once we found it, the staff was able to give us directions to the parking area , close to the hotel .
We loved this hotel so much. Perfect location in Cadaqués - it felt quiet and relaxing and peaceful but within 5 minutes you were on the busy main beachfront street. So clean and comfortable, great pool area and terrace, I couldn't recommend this hotel more!
The overall design of the hotel, a combination of the traditional and modern. Breakfast was very good. My only complaint was the hotel was hard to find but that is the nature I suppose of the small alleys/street of an old fishing village.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the entire hotel was clean and cute. It was in the perfect location to see Cadaques and have a quiet getaway. Would absolutely recommend going there, and I hope I get the chance to go back!
Stunning location near coastal trails, spotless hotel, big comfortable room with great view and mini-fridge, large breakfast with z nice variety of offerings in a lovely setting, very quiet, friendly helpful staff.
Arrels was perfect for our two day stay in Cadaques. The view from the hotel was incredible and very relaxing to eat breakfast or have an afternoon drink. Carla was great and provided excellent recommendations.
Perfect hotel, everything was excellent.
Really helpful staff.
Lunches in the garden was superb.
Beautiful pool in the amazing gardens, with many olive trees, so relaxing.
Tennis court and table tennis.
The place was beautiful! It exceeded my expectations. Aesthetically pleasing, thoughtful, comfortable. The two meals we had there were the best we had in Spain.
