Friendly reception; the courtesy kettle & coffee & tea was appreciated (and I made use of them), the room was tidy and clean, so no issues at all with cleanliness.
No bed bugs either, I'm pleased to report. The room was warm enough that I didn't need to pull the blanket over myself. The bed was comfortable, and I got a good night's sleep (much needed).

We liked the old town but the rest of it was very down at heel and disappointing. It may be the that building work on the other side will improve the area but as we were staying in the middle of the works it was very unattractive

With only 24 hours, we only saw the old town, which is unspoilt (the most important feature for us of any destination). There were excellent traditional family run restaurants offering good traditional French food at reasonable prices. The ramparts offer a relaxing an interesting walk and the castle and cathedral a bit of culture.

Great place if you are interested in fishing, sea, seafood.
Great place if you are interested in fishing, sea, seafood. The historical city is worth a short visit. A lot of choice in restaurants and fish shops. Nice beach and waterfront sites. A part of the marina neigbourhoud is under reconstruction, the result will be very nice.

Boulogne-sur-Mer is a small but pleasant town to visit if you want to escape from the busy city life. We visited Nausicaa, the largest aquarium in Europe! It was worth the drive from Holland! That was the main reason for out trip.

We liked the fact that there were many towels available. The whole apartment is spacious. There is a terrace in the back (where the kitchen is located). There are shutters for making the room dark. The shower cabin inside the bathroom is big. The Wifi is excellent. The apartment has no living quarters on the other side of the street (there are university buidings). The old town centre is on walking distance. The owner was present when we arrived. The apartment is located on the paid parking/ free parking border.
Our family of four received a very warm welcome to Valerie's stunning house in the heart of Boulogne's beautiful old town. Lots of space and beautifully decorated, plus easy free parking on the street outside. The kids loved using the gym equipment and we had a lovely breakfast in the morning before going on our way, taking the scenic coastal route back to Calais on Valerie's recommendation. Merci beaucoup!
This hotel is ideally situated just outside the old fortified walled part of Boulogne. Limited parking is available (by advanced reservation) but we managed to find free off-street parking outside - spaces that are unlikely to be available in the city's main tourist season. Our room was quiet and suitably sized with a good modern functional bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious.
The room was good value, took pets and was fairly close to the old town. We couldn't get a space in the car park but we got a space across the road and it was free parking. The bed was pretty comfortable and it wasn't too noisy although the hotel was quite full. The shower was big and good power and plenty of hot water. Although it was basic it was clean. It had a hairdryer which was useful.
Fantastic location, really close to the old town and to bars, restaurants and some lovely boulangeries. Paco is super, very attentive and helpful. The apartment was quiet and cool even in the August heat.
Double bed super comfy, sofabed a bit hard.
There is a lift as property on the top floor which is a bonus with luggage. An Aldi supermarket about 3 min up the road
Lovely, spacious and very stylishly decorated room with a very zen feeling. Perfect location on the town hall square of the old town with free public parking. Plenty of restaurants within a few hundred meters. The host Corinne is incredibly kind and hospitable and provides plenty of information on restaurants etc. in Boulogne and in the surrounding areas.
Comfortable, very clean and nicely furnished and decorated apartment directly across from the old town. Very friendly and accommodating host, living in the same building. Easy walk to the historic center, bakeries and grocery store. Free parking nearby. Well sound-proofed with very quiet bedrooms facing the back. Great place to stay!
Spacious 1860s mansion furnished with antiques and perfectly located next to the Old Town with its numerous restaurants, bars and cultural sites. (See the hotels website for recommendations. ) Very helpful hosts and an excellent breakfast including many homemade items.
The room was fantastic and faultless attention to detail. The owner was very very helpful. The secure car parking was very important to us. Perfect for a stay before/after crossing the channel and Boulogne old town is very worth a visit. We will be back.
Location right at heart of old town. Patisserie opposite, as well as great little bar The Vole Hole, and plenty of restaurants close by including an excellent Indian takeaway..... and easy free parking. My little dog loved it!
The accomodation is close to the touristic area of Boulogne-sur-Mer and Nausicaa. The apartment is very well equipped, with everything you could need. The cleanliness was impeccable and the communication very good.
Location to local bars and restaurants was fantastic.
Hotel was very clean and had a refurb since our last visit.
Only issue was water flooded under shower door. Nothing we could do. Made mat etc very wet.
It’s a very cosy hotel, old French style, very charming. Good breakfast. Very close to the center of the old town, which is as interesting and beautiful to visit as the aquarium! Parking very easy to find.
parking was great. The breakfast and restaurant were good. It was a nice surprise that the hotel is part of a shopping mall, so I got some shopping done at the Carrefour.
Excellent location in Boulogne old town. Apartment is large and well furnished with a small kitchen and bathroom. A strong recommendation for those staying in Boulogne.
