The Keelman and Big Lamp Brewery, hotel in Berwick Hill

Situated in Newcastle upon Tyne, 7.2 km from MetroCentre, The Keelman and Big Lamp Brewery features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

The room we stayed in is set in a self contained secure accommodation block near to the pub and was comfortable and with a bath which was much appreciated after a long days walk, The location is very close to Hadrians Wall path and cycle way plus a nature park with access to the River Tyne so lots to do. The pub was a real find serving real ale and good food which both went down well after a long days walk. The pub is very popular so early booking for a guaranteed table is recommended.

The setting was ideal as was the accommodation which pleased us as we were able to bring our 2 dogs with us. The food at dinner was wonderful. The ambience in the bar and restaurant was just right as well. Would thoroughly recommend this place and we will be back.

The place is nice with nice views, staff were very helpful and polite. It’s a countryside area which we enjoyed. Room was a bit small, but it didn’t matter much for our short visit. I would recommend this place as a change for city-like hotels
