The location was perfect. Our room was beautifully clean and well appointed.
We had a balcony room, so the sound of the water all night was very relaxing.
The hotel is in Llangollen town centre, looking out over the River Dee. It mixes original character with modern comforts, including free Wi-Fi, free parking and a riverside garden.

Great location and free parking. Lovely large and clean room. Busy hotel but noise was minimal.
Well stocked hostess tray, and toiletries supplied. Good quality towels, if a little small.
Husband really enjoyed the cooked breakfast, especially the black pudding and the sausages.
Pleasant staff.

Stayed here before, it's a beautiful spot & really nice I chose it because I have a 6months old puppy & k ew dogs were accepted. It's a lovely place in beautiful setting & lovely rooms, the only issue is no bar ...no drink served no pint no glass of wine or anything its advertised yet when I asked I was told my wife may open the bar later .....This place is really missing out it so could be a goldmine it could have a well stocked bar it could have a pizza oven van or burgers outside & a little music say bikers welcome its on the tip of horseshoe pass ... it could host rallies have camping pods & really do so well ! I love it & I am not criticising however it could make tons if it targeted the right market, beautiful setting beautiful buildings great outdoors spaces .....it seriously needs someone with passion & drive to help it out if I won't the lottery I'd make them an offer 100% it could be so much more its quite sad as its in a prime location yet feels tired xxxx I love it & will definitely visit again , I just think it's missing tons of opportunities................
This historically listed former coaching house has a large, secure free car park, and free Wi-Fi. It is in the centre of the picturesque town of Llangollen, in the Dee Valley.

Beautiful decor, easy to use access by keypad. Room very nice and comfortable bed.
Bit quirky going down to the cafe for breakfast but was well worth it. Beautiful food and excellent coffee.

Just as you see in the images impeccable. Incurable views, lovely family run and beautiful little town near by. The attention to detail from the books to coffee making facilities to breakfast served alfresco is the best service we have had in the UK! Cannot recommend enough!

Lovely little town on the river in a beautiful area with great walks and outdoor activities.
We usually try to eat at Fouzis at least once when visiting. Great Italian restaurant.
Great walk to Trevor along the canal, then lunch at the old chapel across the road, when youve walked across the aquaduct. About 5 miles each way but on the flat. Also walk to Horseshoe Falls in the opposite direction, just a couple of miles each way.
We were lucky with the weather but sways best to take a raincoat!

A little gem of a village set by the River Dee .
There’s plenty to interest any traveler from vintage railway to canal boat rides or walking to the famous pontcysylite Aqueduct. There’s a castle ruins overlooking Llangollen with some amazing views of the surrounding area .
In the village there’s ample shops ,cafes and bars .

Charming little town on the River Dee with loads of attractions from the Llangollen canal to hill walking. Right in the heart of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct World Heritage Site, so a very interesting and historical place. Not enough time to visit everything, so would like to return.

great holiday location, walking mountain biking or white water rafting and canoeing plus lots of bars / restaurants for after or instead of.
The horse shoe falls are entirely uninspiring. more of a small weir in a field.
the 20mph speed limits are ridiculous in places. steap hills and low speed mean low gears and high revs. Hardly improving the lives of those who live there.
Wales has so much to offer, nice people, beautiful hills and rivers and some of the best beaches Ive ever seen.

Llangollen was very busy on the afternoon of arrival.
Llangollen was very busy on the afternoon of arrival. Some areas are still looking shabby especially some of the original hotels which is a shame ie window frames, doors etc etc, Road works were gone which was a huge improvement from my last visit. Small businesses exist and artisan eateries seem to be doing well. Large mobile home site was full. 20mph a nightmare for locals who are having to adjust to changes in various locations at main roads in from 30 to 40? and 20 to 50 at various stretches, there seems to be little sense in the changes that have been made, New game. spot 30mph??? .
If you want to stay in a yurt (and I did), this really is a very good one to choose. I had thought that it might be a field of yurts, but on the contrary it was a single yurt in its own field north of Llangollen. You're not going to get hotel comforts (think of staying in a house with no central heating) but you'll get clean air, beautiful skies (in the right weather) and a romantic spot. I thought that the instructions for getting there and once you were in the yurt were very clear and helpful too.
The hotel has an excellent location in the centre of Llangollen and the garden beside the river is just perfect! - I do not really eat English Breakfast as I normally travel on the continent and prefer continental breakfast ( selection of ham, cheese, danish pastries, yoghurts and cakes) but the yoghurt and croissant were fine. The room was fine and very clean.
Shane who appeared to be in charge of the restaurant was extremely helpful and cheerful and definitely an asset to the hotel.
Brilliant central location, within walking distance of the centre of Llangollen and all amenities. We stayed for 2 nights and didn't use our car which we parked on the road outside the house. Lots of walks to choose from in the local area, all starting within walking distance of the accommodation. The owners left us wine and biscuits on arrival and were in touch with us to see if we had settled in ok and had some recommendations on places to eat with a dog.
It was a well looked after apartment, clean and well decorated. It was warm when we came in of an evening, also you could lower or higher heating to what you wanted.
We liked the time spent thinking about how the space was used.
It was central to shops, transport, activities, eateries and more. There were lovely walks close to Llangollen centre or further afield.
Ourselves never met the hosts but the things wrote in the visitors book were good 👍.
Such a well presented cottage with some lovely finishing touches that really made it feel both welcoming but with a little touch of luxury and dog friendly! Perfect location for exploring all that Llangollen and the beautiful surrounding countryside has to offer with great canal walks on the doorstep. Despite being a stones throw from the town it was very quiet at night. The use of the parking permit is a really nice addition.
The room was excellent, a lovely comfortable king-size bed. Both the room and the bathroom were hygenically clean. Plenty of tea making sachets available, even a jar full of mint humbugs in the room.
The breakfast was delicious, and was plentiful.
The hotel is in an ideal location for the town of Llangollen, a short walk away.
I would definitely choose to stay in this hotel again should I visit Llangollen in the future.
Location was amazing...much more than expected.
The hotel is the opposite to a travel lodge....an really quiet at night. Food an drink was a bit expensive for what it was but then I love weatherspoons!
Everything is forgiven because of the Location.
An a lovely canal side walk to llangollen..45 mins
Beautiful location and lovely, comfortable, and warm cottage. Great communication from the owners as always. Secure garden for the dogs and space to sit and view the river and listen to the birds. Ideal base to experience a range of walks and easy access to Llangollen.
Excellent location, Excellent Hotel, Excellent owners who made our Honeymoon so special. From a bottle of bubbly in our rooms to taking us out in their tuk tuk around Llangollen. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners who completely treat us like Royalty
Cambrian House was an excellent value. For a budget hotel, it was was very comfortable and homey, clean and cute. And great shower pressure! Even better, Cath was very welcoming and cheery delight--I think she makes the place!
The location was great, it was a five minute walk to the center of Llangollen. Beautiful room and house, bed very comfy and Mayuri added extra treats. Wouldn't stay anywhere else if visiting again. Absolutley Fabulous.
Location was perfect, the hotel is beautiful, customer service was wonderful, so friendly and could not do enough for us.
Stayed with our 2 dogs who were made very welcome and comfortable. The spa was lovely too.
The room was spacious with comfy beds, staff were super friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is beautiful in a lovely location. Very dog friendly too!
