The Auckland Hotel, hotel in Morecambe

Facing the beachfront, The Auckland Hotel offers 3-star accommodation in Morecambe and has a shared lounge, terrace and restaurant.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming from the minute we arrived. My wife could drive her mobility scooter straight into the hotel and then straight into our accessible room. The dining room was spacious, the food was good and was served with smile. We only stayed a couple of nights, but we enjoyed them immensely. We will definitely be staying there again.

The Royal Bar & Shaker, hotel in Morecambe

Located in Morecambe, 400 metres from Morecambe North Beach, The Royal Bar & Shaker offers beachfront accommodation and various facilities, such as a bar.

Good 2 day stay, rooms very clean and compact, lovely breakfast and staff are very pleasant. only issue for me was being a pub all rooms are up quite steep stairs and with walking problems you might find it difficult. location is perfect, the pub itself is good with reasonable prices for your drinks. even with my hip problems i would gladly go back to the royal.

Haven’t been to Morecambe since I was a child

Haven’t been to Morecambe since I was a child The walk along the sea front was very interesting if you read the plaques and information boards. Don’t forget the stone jetty. Take your picture through the picture frame looking across the bay or even with Eric Morecambe. There is even an artwork trail to follow including a cutout of the lakes which you can see across the bay Plenty of cafes to call for a pit stop

Morecambe is very quiet at Easter and more suited to older people at this time of year as there is very little to do. However, it's perfect for dog owners. Most of the hotels and pubs allow dogs. The best thing of all was a gigantic ice cream purchased from a combined gift shop opposite the statue of Eric Morecambe. The promenade and stone pier, as well as the playgrounds are easily accessible and there are car parks on the sea front. For TV sport and American style dining, The Station (opposite the Midland) is hard to beat.

Morecambe has a good selection of restaurants and the oldest pub in Lancashire with a very nice atmosphere, a selection of little independent shops you don't find in any town, we very much enjoyed our visit and would like to go back again

    I Love Morecambe.

I Love Morecambe. There is a good community feel about Morecambe. i have wonderful Tai reasonably priced massages when I am there. There are street plantings and lots of seating. Good charity shops. Very good eating places. Lots of inspiring street art. The Morecambe bay views and sunsets are fantastic and the northern lights can be viewed from there. We ate plant based food at the Midland Hotel which was reasonably priced. It is easy to get around. the buses are regular and you can get rides in pony traps. I would never go to The Clifton hotel again but it was cheap.

Some of it has been regenerated but it still needs a lot of money investing to bring it up to scratch. There are very few places to eat at night. Pubs and bars are run down. Hopefully the Eden Project will inject new life into it.

This is a great hotel, in an excellent position overlooking Morecambe Bay. Check in was straightforward. The room was superb. King size room, and bed, with fantastic views over the bay. Lovely little alcove in the room with comfortable chair meant you could relax and watch the sea/bay. Great double shower. Breakfast was very good. Pre-ordered, but very well organised each morning. And the hot breakfast was top quality, great bacon, black pudding and poached eggs in particular. All staff friendly and helpful. Totally recommend this hotel

Car parking - easy access. Lovely small hotel with Bar. Clean comfortable room with nice en-suite. I had a sea view which was lovely. Exceptional staff who were so helpful. I am disabled and they couldn’t do enough to help. Nice bar lounge area. Breakfast was wonderful. Everything you could want. The cooked breakfast was fabulous. Served in the nice bright dinning room. Freshly cooked to my order could not have been better. I have stayed at a few hotels on Morecambe prom and this is by far the best

Hotel space and Accommodation was of a very high standard throughout. Cleanliness Standards were unquestionably high. Staff (Helen in particular) demonstrated a soft approach, very cooperative, friendly and understanding. Meals were very enjoyable, there was one occasion only , where an issue arose relating to time to take to deliver an order, when challenged the response was professional, timely and understanding which was appreciated. No issues with pre-booked parking.

Booked a room at the Auckland hotel last minute, at a cheap price. The room was basic, but absolutely spotless, which was the main priority for me. The main selling point of the Auckland Hotel was the staff. I was travelling alone on a bike so had a few extra requests - that staff could not have been more helpful to accommodate. I’m looking forward to staying there again on my next trip to Morecambe.

The room was a little dated but clean and well appointed and good for the rate. Breakfast was a hot and cold buffet served in a dining room with a view of Morecambe Bay. Parking on the street is free. It is located within walking distance of the Platform venue. Also convienient for the Lancashire coastal walk.

Breakfast, included but not advertised as such, was excellent. Quirky art deco hotel & room design but see below. Dinner was also very good: we had the fish of the day (pan fried hake with great sauce & most of the veg, again: see below). Location great for the few attractions of interest to us in Morecambe.

Dave and Paula were very friendly and informative, and when my wife mentioned she did not like butter, they went above and beyond and got her margarine. Sea view from our room was brilliant and the breakfasts were excellent. If we return to Morecambe in the future would without a doubt rebook this hotel
