Small English town, nearby Sheffield. It's a good place to visit if you wish to see how real people in England live. It's nothing like the big cities. However it's not a place I would stay for more than 1 night...Few hours stop at most.

I stayed in the centre.
I stayed in the centre. Driving in the outer areas had nice three bedroom semi-detached houses type properties. In the centre more terraced houses.
Lots of shops, quite a lot of retail park area in the centre.
An Aldi next to an Asda, a large Tesco Extra a mile away. A McDonald's restaurant with drive through, a Burger King, a bridge where underneath you see River Don with swans if you are fortunate.
Some parts a bit dull, few less nice houses amongst some terraced houses.
A nice mosque in the central area.
Petrol seems a lot cheaper in central areas where they compete with supermarkets than outer areas like Rawmarsh where they have less competition.
Town has population of around 260,000.

Well did not go sight seeing, needed some where over two nights, due to Darts competition at the Magna centre. But due to the so called studio apartment upset me and the wife, and found a travel-lodge in Sheffield instead.
As the Brentwood is in one of the most salubrious areas of Rotherham, I assumed the hotel would be particularly special. The staff could not be faulted, neither could the overall value for money, however, the room did not live up to expectations, nor did the communal areas of the hotel. We realise that as far as hotel prices go, we paid very little for our room so, on the whole, were pleased with our stay. The beds were especially comfortable. Breakfast was delicious too.
I miss my coach from London Victoria and I tried to reach the hotel but no one was there to answer call for the whole night and in the morning I called Booking.com to arrange with them maybe I can still use my payment but they are not reachable.
On arrival to the hotel next day I show them all my call and in order to be able to use my down payment but they totally refuse they said the money as gone you have to rebook another one
Second time to stay here, clean, modern, comfortable hotel. Definitely need transport due to location but it suited our needs as there was plenty of parking and quiet. Didn't use the gym this time but did last time & it was good enough. Staff are friendly if a bit understaffed at times. Overall I'd recommend it if you are not bothered staying outside Sheffield city centre. I would stay here again.
The decor was very elegant in the hotel lobby and the dining area, especially downstairs, with a grand piano present. The patio area was thoughtfully designed, with lots of potted plants and trees, and a sail to protect patrons from the elements. Blankets and a heater were also available. The bar staff were knowledgeable and friendly and the cocktails were delicious.
The staff were incredibly helpful throughout my stay.
The room was decorated very tastefully and has views over the Minster. The bath was so so good and the bed incredibly comfortable. Tea, coffee and water provided.
This beautiful hotel will now be my first choice when visiting my home town.
Nice to have a pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi at the hotel. Hours were quite flexible as well, and no restrictions on children timings which we appreciated.
Buffet breakfast was good, and children were well catered for both in terms of food and a play area/small tables in the restaurant.
Very rude stuff. We trying to open a business around Rotherham area so my friend worked last night till around 2:30 am. Reach the hotel without charger and tried to ask the reception to change the phone so he can call someone to help him. They can’t speak English other than hi.
It looks like the hotel is in the middle of refurbishment and the parts that have been done look good, we only needed a bed for the night so was ok for us ,the beds were comfortable the rooms well equipped and staff were friendly
Very cosy boutique hide away hotel, bar had reasonable drinks prices and car parking locked up at night. Centre of town location was good. Room was small my adequate. Staff very well presented and helpful
Lovely large room with enough beds to accomodate the 5 of us. It had everything we needed. The hotel was very, very kind towards children with a special kids-breakfast table, a playing-corner etc.
The guy that checked us in was lovely. The room was basic but functional and it was clean - that was all we needed. If I needed a hotel in the area again I'd definitely consider staying again.
