The Swan Hotel, hotel in Staines

Overlooking the River Thames, The Swan is a Victorian inn offering home-cooked food and luxurious rooms. The Swan is situated in Staines, just 15 minutes’ drive from Heathrow Airport.

The Swan is in a lovely location beside the River Thames with a little walking path just below - about a 20’ish’ minute walk to Runnymede where the Magna Carta began its life! Our room was sweet with a little balcony overlooking the River. The pub/restaurant downstairs carries quite a nice selection of alcoholic beverages, cider and ale with snacks to enjoy as well as a nice dinner menu. There are tables inside with views of the River as well as spots to sit and watch the boats, ducks and swans glide by. We were warmly welcomed, check in was stress free and all of the staff lovely. It’s also a short walk from the train station and very close to Heathrow Terminal 5. We’d recommend The Swan to anyone visiting the area.

Set in Staines, Staines Riverside by Charles Hope is a recently renovated accommodation, 9 km from Thorpe Park and 10 km from Windsor Castle.

We liked the decor, the apartment was lovely and clean and also that you supplied toiletries which smelt lovely. Also tea and coffee provided great after a long journey before getting your own supplies. We meet the cleaning lady and she was lovely, very friendly and helpful.

Radisson Blu Edwardian Heathrow Hotel, London, hotel in Staines

Located just 5 minutes’ drive from London Heathrow Airport, the Radisson Blu Edwardian, Heathrow is decorated with glass chandeliers, an ornate marble staircase and striking Eastern artwork.

Nothing if the customers service is poor the rest is poor, unhelpful was they threatened me for the picking up car to wait just 15 minutes, and refused to validate the picking car from the hotel, and we may get a fine for that

Staines was close to the attractions we wished to visit (Legoland and Chessington) and had a range of takeaways, restaurants and shops near to our accommodation. Parking was available locally and it made a good base for travel.

We stayed in Staines because it's close to Windsor and we were visiting the castle. The view of the river Thames from our hotel (The Swan) was lovely. It was interesting to watch so many different boats, kayaks and barges passing by. We went for a short walk around the hotel and everything looked clean and very serene.

Hotel has lovely views right on River Thames.

Hotel has lovely views right on River Thames. Staines Town shops are poor. Plenty of eateries everywhere. Interesting buildings if you look for them, but shopping is going downhill fast. I used to live here & notice the difference. If you love the river, you will like Staines-upon-Thames & you can walk a long way on the path.

This was self catering so no breakfast included. The property is an excellent size very close to Staines mainline station. There are shops within walking distance and everything is close by. The property is well equipped and I was able to cook my own food with ease. Fridge freezer, microwave oven and cooker all included. The apartment is huge and would be ideal for a traveling couple who wanted to explore the nearby area. Overall excellent and Joseph was very helpful. I would definitely stay again.

The apartment is exactly as pictured, modern, bright, and spacious. It is in a quiet area and very secure, including secure on-site parking. The location is excellent, literally 2 minutes' walk to the train station from where one can be in central London in just over 30 minutes. Very detailed and helpful instructions on how to check in and out and how various appliances work - some with short videos. The host was also very responsive.

The hotel was in a fabulous location on the river, lovely room overlooking the river, warm and comfortable. Everything you would need in the room was provided even a coffee machine ! The breakfast was exceptional, the staff very attentive and the front-of-house manager went over and above to ensure our stay was pleasurable. Would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to another stay here.

Our schedule arriving from Southampton after our cruise made our arrival at Blue Bell Cottage earlier than expected and before the check-in time. They made arrangements for us to leave suitcases there which allowed us to include other attractions in the area before check in.

The location in Staines was great. It was very near High Street and right around the corner was a fantastic food court. The house itself was spacious and comfortable and the facilities well kept. Finally, the service was amazing, questions were answered promptly.
