Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Nothing too much hassle for them. Really pleasant. It was my friends birthday one day during my stay and they helped with a bottle of Prosecco to make it special for her!

Great location right on the beach , near to beachside restaurants 50 - 100 metres to the right and right in the small town centre for more restaurants, cafes and supermarket. Kalyves is a very relaxed place , retaining a traditional feeling not touristy in the slightest. Mixture of nationalities , French, German, Polish, British, Israelis and more. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Two nice swimming pools outdoor and one indoor pool in the spa. Water was a bit chilly but was mid may so not surprising.

I like the fact that is is not large and has a nice, laid back atmosphere. There are plenty of good tavernas & restaurants to try with excellent food at very reasonable prices. Our particular favourite was Thalami but there is a good selection and we didn't have time to try many others . There are also beautiful beach bars for drinks and snacks where you can sit and watch the world go by. Not a place to go if you are looking niteclubs.

Almirida is a nice little place on the beach 15km east of Chania and 35 min drive from Chania airport. There are a dozen or so restaurants, almost all by the beach. No big hotels or loud nightclubs which suits a quietish and relaxing stay. Loads of activities and trips accessible for those who want to do more than sit by a pool or on the beach.

A very nice village (maybe a dozen restaurant, about as many shops, some ice cream places, a playground and some nice sandy and relatively flat beaches). Everything in walking distance.. Every two hours connection with modern bus to Chania and nearby Kalives. Sadly no real sidewalk, but very slow traffic.

Nice and clean place. I loved the food from dinner. The staff was very nice , except Ada from breakfast. Because of her we couldn’t enjoy eating the breakfast on the outside terrace. We had to eat inside where the staff was really nice . Big thanks to Stepanos and Giorgios.

Almirida is a wonderful place to stay for families or couples wanting a quieter resort. It is very picturesque with stunning views across the bay from the surrounding hills. We had delicious food at every restaurant we visited and the people were incredibly friendly and welcoming! We have fallen in love with this place and everything Crete has to offer! A truly special place on earth! We will be back!

Nice place with many tavernas and few shops and a pleasant atmosphere. In time of our visit (July 2023) the beach was not crowded what was fine. The grocery shop in the village was quite expensive. Some bakeries with a fine coffee. The sandy beach was not very big. The perfect place to discover the surrounding (Aptera, Chania, Apokoroni, Kournas lake, etc.)
Excellent location, directly on the beach in the centre of the village. Studio 5 is bright, has everything you need, and the bed is extremely comfortable. Elena and Nikos are lovely, they checked in with me to see if I needed anything and made sure I was OK, as a first time solo traveller this was really appreciated.
Almyrida is a beautiful village with traditional tavernas on the beachfront, serving delicious food. Francoise's cafe was a favourite for breakfast. I loved it so much that I'm booking to go back again in a few months.
Have just spent seven nights at this hotel. Six were in a private pool suite.
The staff were so friendly, efficient and polite particularly the two ladies on reception.
The hotel was immaculately clean.
Breakfast was nice and had a good selection to choose from.
We didn’t eat in the hotel.
The location is quiet at the end of the bay. Many bars snd restaurants near by. Beach nearest is small but quiet.
Would definitely return and recommend to friends wanting a chilled out holiday.
Villa is clean and modern, still personal and stylish. Just like photos. Heated pool was wonderful in april-may. You can see mediterranean sea and sunsets from rooftop jacuzzi.
Villa is in quiet little street, but only short walk (really short, like 200 meters) from sandy beach, nice restaurants and cafes.
We had a rental car, so we could discover area with teenagers, but it is not necessary, if you plan to stay at Almyrida.
Thank you Dimitris and family!
The view is more than beautiful…the sunset is stunning! Everything is spotless and everybody so warm and polite…the sandy beach (Almyrida beach), shops and taverns just a few steps away.
You can also rent a car, a bike or a motorcycle from Almyrida.
By car, Rethymno is 1h 10’ away, Chania 45 mins and Heraklion is 1h 50’ min away (these are max values at the end of july). At the beach, they have paddle boards, kayaks, etc. for renting by the hour or more.
Modern, clean and well furnished apartment. Balcony with view over the ocean for that afternoon drink. Fully equipped kitchen and a washing machine. AC in all rooms and great Wi-Fi (important for the kids😁). Just a few steps from the (best) beach and all the restaurants in Almyrida. Fantastic hosts that communicate well and fixes any issues immediately. We highly recommend this stay and the hosts that manage it.
The location! So close to the beach and restaurants, but so peaceful.
The pool area is beautiful.
The apartment was spacious and clean.
The staff, when around, were lovely - Stuart on reception was great.
Air conditioning in both rooms.
Good WiFi.
Almyrida is beautiful, low key, friendly and only just over 35 minutes from Chania airport.
We loved the villa, pool, location and views, but were glad we had a car. It is excellently situated, peaceful and with good and friendly restaurants in Plaka, the beach, a good variety of shops and plenty of restaurants in Almyrida, as well as a pharmacy, doctor, and petrol station all within easy reach.
One of the best located places in Almyrida with 5 balconies facing the sea, and only 3 minutes walk from the beach and the taverns.
The host is very kind and helpful. The fridge broke down and she managed to get us a new one immediately.
The apartment is clean and spacious, so are the rooms.
Fab hotel run by excellent staff. The beds were very comfy . Lots of choice for breakfast only issue were the boiled eggs which always seemed to be rock hard! The pool was a nice size with very comfy sunbeds. The hotel did have a gym but I never used it.
The place was very clean and comfortable. Located just outside Almyrida with a beautiful view and calm surroundings, with a small beach just in front. Staff were nice and polite. Great value too. Was very relaxing for us. We would happily come back.
The staff couldn't do enough for us. Very helpful, you can tell they are new at it but they are so polite and helpful that it doesn't matter.
The view was spectacular and Almyrida is like 3 minutes walk away.
The food was very tasty
The hotel is very nice, well equipped, greatly located. The rooms are of good sizes and have everything you need. The host Stuart was exceptional, great guy and very attentive to any needs!
The apartment is located just 5mins walk from the beach and all the restaurants of Almyrida. Convenient with parking and the hosts are super nice and helping with anything you need
Very nice staff. the receptionist and bartender were particularly lovely.
We had a wonderful sea view room. Almyrida was our favorite place during our three week stay in Crete.
Amazing villa in a fantastic location - very close to the lovely Almyrida beach and the local bars and restaurants. There was an amazing wlecome pack when we arrived too
