This mansion was built two hundred years ago by a wealthy ship builder. Greece’s first king, King Otto, was a guest at the mansion and slept in the same bedroom we were assigned. The gorgeous bedroom has a four-poster bed, tall casement windows overlooking a central patio with a water fountain, and a ceiling that starts about twenty feet up. The charming town of Leonidio is a climbing center because of its location near towering rock cliffs. Wonderful breakfast.

Wonderful stay. The hotel is very pretty, well appointed and clean. It’s clear they put a lot of heart and soul into the place.
The family that owns the place are very pleasant and shared many stories about their family, life experience and local tips about the region including a delicious restaurant. Felt like I was speaking to old friends.

This was easily our favorite accommodation during our two week stay in Greece. It is a beautiful building and our room was designed very well. It is just above the village and our balcony had a wonderul view of the billage and surrounding hills. The buffet style breakfast was very good and included some special treats (pancakes and French toast). A short walk takes you into the village where there are numerous hiking trails.
