Szigliget is fabulous.
Szigliget is fabulous. Tranquil, scenic, relaxing.Of course the main draw is the lake, but don’t overlook the surrounding landscape and nature. While you are there check out the Vulcanus restaurant/winery on Antal Hegy. A 5 min drive from the center of town. The best cousin in the most beautiful setting with a view of the lake in one direction and the castle another.The proprietors are incredibly kind, knowledgable and helpful. An unforgettable experience. We discovered it last summer, and made it a point to go back again this year.

Simple, clean and comfortable accommodation in a farm house surrounded by beautiful countryside. The family was really friendly and helpful and the landlady spoke both English and German. I would strongly recommend it.

The restaurants are hit and miss.
The restaurants are hit and miss. Don't eat in the restaurant opposite the beach entrance, they take ages to bring your food out and your party will not get the food at the same time. We had to wait 10 minutes for each diner to get their food.ANNAMARIAUnited Kingdom

The apartment with terrace was perfect: stylish, spotless, spacious (for two adults and one teen) and so comfortable, especially the beds. The host was very kind and the reasonably priced local wines are a lovely touch. The street itself has cute thatched cottages on it, and there is a nice panorama of vineyard and sheep (!) to the rear, with Szigliget castle up overhead. Perfect stay, highly recommend!

The location is excellent and the view from the windows / terrace is second to none, overlooking the Balaton and nearby vineyards. The apartment feels new, is spacious, nicely furnished and modern. Szigliget castle and the town center are within walking distance. Owner was very helpful and flexible with our requests. Bikes are on-site to ride.AdamHungary

The building is amazing both from exterior and interior, the staff is extra lovely and breakfast was delicious. We will definitely come back, so I can only recommend to those visiting Szigliget. Szigliget is also a lovely place :)
