What a great place - we loved everything about it. You stay in a separate guest house which gives you privacy. It has its own bathroom. kitchen, living area and bedroom. We were greeted with fresh baked muffins, there was food the kitchen, and treats by the bed. The grounds are historic and beautiful - doves, horses, old trees and stone walls. Our host were so helpful.

Mostly we loved our hostess, Deirdre, and Fred! The room was most comfortable! The breakfasts were fabulous and the coffee was delicious! All the rooms were very warm and inviting! We loved the patio too! Everything was so clean and tidy! Highly recommend!

We came to Bunratty to attend the Medieval Banquet.
We came to Bunratty to attend the Medieval Banquet. This is well worth a visit. The food was great! I really enjoyed the Mead welcome drinks too! The staff who were serving our food were also the entertainment. The singing was absolutely fantastic! I sing in a Welsh choir, I was seriously impressed! They instrumentalists were also exceptional. The host was also very funny, so it was a great night! The castle is a fantastic attraction to visit and spend time with family and learn all about the medieval past. After the banquet we went into the village and visited the local pubs. What an exceptional warm welcome we received. Both pubs had musicians playing and singing! Bunratty provided a close location to Shannon Airport necessary after an overnight flight. We dined at JP Clarks which is lovely and delicious. Dirty Nelly's was adorable, but we couldn't get service. Bunratty Folk Park is well worth a visit. This is a perfect way to start an Irish vacation.
This is a perfect way to start an Irish vacation. It is a short drive from the Shannon airport and the Bunratty Castle/folk museum is a great way to shake off jet lag. There is shopping and restaurants in town that are very good options.

The hosts were awsome that provided a beautiful breakfast in the mornings. Having coffee in the morning watching the sun rise in the pasture with the cows grazing was very relaxing. She was already for us although we were early, 7 folks and showed us to our rooms which were great and well equipped. The home itself is unlike any other we’ve stayed. We spent a lot of time outside, very welcoming areas for visiting, as well as inside. The breakfast was fabulous, easily the greatest choices we had seen. It is very close to Shannon airport and we also walked into Bunratty for dinner and a look at the castle.
