Bunclody town has a beautiful setting with a stream running through the middle of it surrounded with trees & some seating while one way traffic goes down one side & up the other side of the stream. It is situated at the foot of Mount Leinster which has lovely walks & a scenic view from the top. Great Golf course with beautiful restaurant upstairs in the clubhouse. Pub with very friendly atmosphere & lovely food across from Bunclody Lodge.

Inland rural busy village, lots of life and activity on main street. Shops and facilities walking distance. Friendly locals, River Slany never too far away. Maybe not a tourism heavy hitter, but all the better for that. Beautiful countryside nearby in every direction.

Alas, it was raining hard when we were in Bunclody so most of the nearby attractions were off limits unless to seals! But Phil, our delightful hostess at Meadowside B & B, told us best local places to eat and drink, and offered lots of background information. We could not recommend this residence more, and in summer it must be a joy.

Ate breakfast in Sugar and Spice breakfast simple but really good. Fabulous wheaten brown bread. Visited some clothes shop and people very friendly. Had dinner in Rivers edge nice atmosphere, busy and seemed to be with repeat customers always a good sign. Food was good and staff very friendly and attentive. We ended up in a bar called Lennons nice old bar feeling.

Lovely town with great selection of places to eat. Locals very friendly & willing to help out. Beware though as on Monday not all restaurants or bars were open, a little research will help with that.

Lovely stay in Bunclody. Beautiful place, had a lovely breakfast every morning in Sugar and Spice. Highly recommend eating in Rivers Edge Bar and Restaurant couldn't fault the food and very friendly staff, Guinness is also very good 😁 Only 20mins from the Teddy Bear picnic experience, which is brilliant. 30mins from Courtown beach and only 1hr from tramore beach. The kiora Mini farm is brilliant also only 30mins away.

Can only recommend, nice small hotel in a lovely town. Room price more than affordable comparing what was available for me at the date in other hotels (2x-3x the price in other hotels), Very nice clean and spacious room with ensuite bathroom. TV, water kettle, coffee machine, hair dryer, wifi provided. AC in the room. On street parking - while it can get busy I had not problems with finding the parking spot.

Really nice, clean place to stay in Bunclody Town. The owner Charlie was very accommodating and took us to the start point of the Blackstairs Crossing as we wished to check it out before hiking the next day. He also recommend a great taxi driver, who brought us to the start point and collected us from Glynn. The accom is really nice and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.

Was playing golf in Bunclody. Accommodation was very close to the golf course. Plenty of free parking at the rear. I had a downstairs twin room at the back of the house so I didn’t hear any traffic or noise which is important as I am a light sleeper. Had the full Irish breakfast which was lovely. Our host Phil was very friendly.

Charlie was a wonderful host. He was very accommodating. The rooms are spacious, very clean, modern & comfortable. Complimentary water, tea/coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits in each room. While there is no onsite bar or restaurant, everything you could possibly need is just a few steps away. Excellent central location.
