Anzio is a non-touristic, quiet port town.
Anzio is a non-touristic, quiet port town. Decent beaches, both free and paid. A good starting point for hydrofoil travel to Ponza Island. From here there are hydrofoils that will take you there in an hour and a half. Other places only use regular cruise ships, but they offer a four-hour journey. There are many good restaurants with local fresh fish and seafood as well as local wines. A place worth staying for shorter and longer periods.MarekPoland - 10Scored 10

if you want to stay near Rome and have the benefit of a cooler summer atmosphere and a beach holiday this it , far better than staying Ostia or Fiumicino. frequent trains air conditioned and an hours journey rome for targeted visiting.

The balcony had a table and chairs where we could sit and watch the waves and sunset - beautiful! The room was small, but clean. The wardrobe had plenty of space to hang clothes and the bed was quite comfortable. There is also a rooftop terrace with chairs and tables for guests to enjoy. We really appreciated the fridge full of water bottles for guests as it was very hot during our stay.MattieCanada

The train station is very close so it is easy to go to Rome which is quite close. I want to admit that there is no loud noise from the trains. The view is marvelous, the air is fresh. There are shops, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants not far from the house. The beach is also 10 minutes from the apartment. The Host is very nice and friendly and always ready to help.

Located in the small town of Anzio, it is just a 5 minutes walk to the nice beach at the ruines of the Villa of nero or just around the corner to the city center. The owner is very welcoming and nice. She also gave us recommendations for Restaurants and activites in town.
