Very under stated.
Very under stated. A perfect spot to visit Porto Fino and santa Margherita (use the bus or walk there instead of your car) and/or Cinque Terre (by train from Rapallo). Lots of good restaurants on the sea front to choose from and very nice views.

A perfect place to base a holiday.
A perfect place to base a holiday. Public transport was reliable easy and inexpensive. Also plenty to look at in the town. Good bars and restaurants. We attended a superb free concert in one of the churches. Easy access to railway and Genoa airport Look for the smaller restaurants. Plenty in the narrow medieval quarter.

The best place to stay in the Italian riviera.
The best place to stay in the Italian riviera. Lots of things to do, shops, cafes, reasonable prices, beaches, looks beautiful. Cable car to the top is highly recommended. Portofino is overhyped and very expensive. Cinqe Terre was so so. I was glad we stayed in Rapallo.

Rapallo is the perfect town to stay in!
Rapallo is the perfect town to stay in! It has everything you need without being overcrowded with tourists. We went in August which is the busiest time of year, so it was nice visiting and having a break being shoulder to shoulder with people like we had been on the rest of our Euro trip! Rapallo has a train station and ferry station and is in perfect proximity to attractions nearby. The boardwalk had great restaurant and cafe options too and is magical to walk around at night. If you're deciding between Cinque Terre and Rapallo, definitely stay in Rapallo and make day trips out to more busy places!

About the location of Hotel "Portofino Est Residence.Here...
About the location of Hotel "Portofino Est Residence. Here the courtyard and the fact that there is a sea view is ok.
But the interior leaves much to be desired. The furniture is uncomfortable (the old metal cots) that wobble with any movement, especially the bunk and rusty bed, there is an extendable sofa instead of a rather uncomfortable matrimonial bed.
When you open the door, you are hit by a musty, dirty, unventilated smell, an unkempt and dirty place.
Overall the exterior is ok but the interior is terrible.
About the commune itself Rapallo is a beautiful place. A fairytale commune where you can eat well, there are beaches and places where you can walk, a seafront with palm trees, a cute harbor with yachts, you can go nearby to Portofino, the super village and more expensive, but it's worth a visit there too.
Rapallo is a beautiful town!!!

It is centrally located to explore nearby Portofino, Cinque terre and others.
Fabulous location, close to beach, lovely walking locations along the promenade, shops and restaurants across the road. Loved the character of the building. Air-conditioning and elevator added to a comfortable stay. Breakfast were perfect with a great range of options, pastries were delicious. Rapallo markets on Thursday just across the road-fantastic range of market stalls.
The staff, a special thanks to Emanuel were so lovely, friendly an welcoming, great advice for restaurant recommendations and travelling around, so helpful and kind.
My daughters and I stayed at the Hotel Astoria recently. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel from the moment we arrived until the day we left. My original booking didn't include a room with a view, but they gave us one anyway. We had a beautiful view of the sea, and the room was extremely spacious. Breakfast was delicious. All the staff were friendly. I will definitely stay at this hotel again if I'm fortunate enough to return to this region of Italy again!
This was the best private host booking we ever had. The host was very nice and caring. Liked the facilities in the apartment and it seemed that the host thought of absolutely everything to make it feel like home. The location is also fantastic, as it is in the centre of Rapallo, perfect location to train station, restaurants, shops and the beach. It was just perfect for what our family wanted to experience in Rapallo. We highly recommend this property.
- staff was very kind and welcoming
- great location, bus station to Portofino right in front of the hotel, railway station 10 mins walk away, Rapallo city centre and beach also close
- paid extra for the breakfast and it was worth it
- the terrace on top of the hotel has a great view and is open almost all the time
- there's a big parking close by which requires an hour disk and i managed to find a free parking spot at a 5 min walking distance
I love the town of Rapallo and the apt was close to shops, places to dine, the ferry to Cinque Terre, train station and the beach. We found a place for dinner up the block and the food was so great that we ate there both nights...Trattoria Dede is the name. The apt was very clean, had good sized rooms and air conditioning.
Don't expect everything in perfect condition. Instead, enjoy all the passion, love and small details in the appartment!
The location ist perfect. Plenty of equipment.
Host is friendly, helpful as well as professional.
Best value in Rapallo, highly recommended for an unforgattable stay!
Well-situated hotel for excursions in Liguria. The parking lot in front of the hotel is a great advantage and the train station for visiting Cinque Terre is on short walking distance. The hotel is old fashioned, but clean. Plenty of breakfasting/dining options in charming Rapallo.
This hotel was perfect for our mini break in Rapallo. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast that was included was fantastic and the room was so cute. We couldn't fault it in anyway.
The apartment was spacious, recently renovated, quiet and very clean! Cri greeted us kindly and explained everything about the place and tips for visiting around Rapallo. Would be happy to return!
The hotel is very cozy and well located. Marco is very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was great. We loved our time here and would definitely come again.
