Kanazawa is a beautiful city. The castle and park are wonderful especially with the Sakura in bloom. It is easy and cheap to get around and the food choices are excellent. We particularly enjoyed the cocktail bar Furansu - exceptional cocktails

Kanazawa was brilliant, especially after Kyoto.
Kanazawa was brilliant, especially after Kyoto. While Kyoto was crowded and set-up to process lots and lots of people, here it was so different. The cherry blossom festival in the park was full of people, but it wasn't heaving, like so much of Kyoto, and it was mostly Japanese people. There's so much to see and do here! People were super friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The castle area is beautiful, especially at night. The various Chaya areas were pleasant too. We rented kimonos and went for a rickshaw tour around Kanazawa, which was a highlight of the whole trip.

We spent 4 days in Kanazawa.
We spent 4 days in Kanazawa.
Taking time to enjoy beautiful parks during cherry blossoms.
Parks looked like from the postcard, presenting top level of Japanese garden art. Including windy paths, streams, small bridges, bonzai trees. Elaborated to every detail.
City walls impressed me, and at well preserved samurai district we could find out how the life looked like 300-400 years ago.
If I will have more time, I will spend couple days more here.

If you love to go to traditional food markets, this is the hotel to book. You just have to cross the street to go to the market and you can practically eat all your meals there and the price is so reasonable. Caveat here, if you eat at the stalls, you will have to eat standing up in front of the stall but it is great that you can move from stall to stall to taste different foods. However, there are also restaurants inside.

Kanazawa is a great place to visit and to have as a central point to head out to other places. From Kanazawa we went out to Kurobe Gorge which is such beautiful country side. Hotel Intergate staff we excellent. Pretty much anything you needed, they would tend to. If going back to Kanazawa, I would stay here again.

I travelled into Kanazawa on the Thunderbird Express train.
I travelled into Kanazawa on the Thunderbird Express train. The station is modern and attractive and a short walk from all the main attractions. There is the Omicho market, geisha and samurai districts, a 400 year old castle and a modern art museum. Places to eat were plentiful and catered for all tastes. The two main attractions for me were walks along the river which flows through the town and the stunning Kenrokuen gardens.
Everywhere was within easy walking distance and the people were so friendly and welcoming. My lack of Japanese was never a problem.
The hotel is conveniently located, close to the main attractions in Kanazawa. We were delighted with Alex, he was incredibly helpful and recommended us a great place for dinner as it was Tuesday and all our references were closed (ended up being one of the best dinners we had during our stay in Japan).
The rooms are spacious and comfortable.
The Music bar was the perfect bonus to our stay in Kanazawa, good vibes, great music and great drinks! Definitely we do recommend it and it will be our choice to a future visit to Kanazawa!
A run of the mill hotel with slightly bigger rooms from a Japanese perspective.
Location was excellent in terms of public transport ,the main train station, upon leaving main exit the hotel building could be seen with its signage up high on the hotel building line. Also located in walking distance to/from Kanazawa tourist attractions, market, castle, castle gardens etc. No need to buy tickets for the tourist Loop bus that is advertised in tourist info centre. Beds were good but not great from a comfort point of view.
This is my second review of Hotel Pacific, Kanazawa. I am not going to repeat what I said previously, but just say that I returned to Kanazawa for another night just to stay at this hotel one more time before returning to the UK. Why? Because the staff are amazing. In the future, when I think about my holiday in Japan, I will always remember the friendship of the Hotel Pacific staff.Yes, I would truly say that they have become friends in just three days. You can't ask for more than that.
The room was a very decent size and there was even a table for 2, a washing machine and a microwave, which all came in useful. The staff were very friendly as well and helped us find our way around. The breakfast buffet has a traditional Japanese section and a continental breakfast selection as well. The hotel was very close to major attractions, and also near bus stops that could take you to and from Kanazawa JR station. Overall, very happy with my stay and will be coming back!
Room was a good size and we had all comforts. Breakfast was unique where you had two choices: a Western breakfast or a Japanese breakfast. We tried each and both were enjoyable. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Hotel is about a 20 minute leisurely walk from the rail station but very close to the markets and the Kanazawa Castle and Kenrouken Garden
I would recommend this hotel to people visiting the area
The hotel was a bit unusual for Europeans, as it has a Tatami-floor, and one uses hotel clothing. it is very clean and has a comfortable Onsen on the upper floor. it is close to downtown and the Omchio market approx. 20 mins footwalk to the train station. Kanazawa itself is an absolut must for a Japan trip, with its castle, Kenroku-en park, old Geisha and Samurai town all in close footwalk to the hotel.
Everything! The staffs are super nice and friendly. The hotel provides drinks bar in the lobby, free ramen at night and even some drinks in the fridge. The room is spacious, clean and beautiful. Recommended hotel when you stay in Kanazawa. The location is not that far from Kanazawa station, 10 min walk and also walking distance to some interesting places. Too bad that it was only a short visit for us.
Good size room for Japan, great amenities and comfy pyjamas provided! Free drinks and snacks provided in the lobby at different times during the day which was a bonus. Walking distance to Kanazawa Castle and gardens. Kimono rental just 3 mins walk away, inside the New Grand Hotel, next to the Tourist Information Centre.
The hotel has bigger rooms than the rest of the hotels we've been to Japan and the beds are 180x200 size, so it was a really comfortable stay.
Next to the Omicho Market and in walking distance to the Kanazawa castle, Kenroku-en and Kanazawa Station (everything is about 1km or little more from the hotel).
Loved the location at the railway station and the staff were amazing especially the Bell Captain and front of house staff. The Japanese Restaurant for our final breakfast was superb! Hotel Nikko’s lounge for afternoon tea was wonderful and complimentary drink vouchers were very much appreciated!
Staff excellent, the hotel was clean and fancy, the buffet breakfast was delicious, and loved the communal bath. We enjoyed a free drink of matcha and Japanese sweets. Will definitely be back next time we go visit. It felt like we were at a 5 star hotel. Thanks Agora Kanazawa.
The location is right at the A3 exit of Kanazawa station. Perfect. Walking distance to many tourist spots too.
The hotel room size was also generous.
The breakfast was sumptuous and was good to last for our Shinkansen ride to Tokyo.
I highly recommend this hotel.
Beautiful hotel that was super affordable. Staff was very kind and nice. The space was clean, rooms were very comfortable and the onsen was absolutely beautiful. The location was great as it was close to the Kanazawa station as well as the Omichi Market.
It is just next to the famous Omicho market. And it is within walking distance to the Kanazawa station. The room is exceptionally big and clean. Enjoy the private bathroom very much. So far it is the best hotel for my entire Japan trip.
This small hotel was perfect for our stay in Kanazawa. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. It is near the key sites in the city and walking distance to Kanazawa Station.
For the price point, this hotel is truly a gem to stay at! The experience feels as if it should cost $100 a night normally!
This is my go-to hotel if I ever stay at Kanazawa!
Quiet, centrally located hotel in Kanazawa. Not expensive. Great bar on the first floor with tasty food. Friendly staff willing to give recommendations for the area
It was cold the day I arrived in Kanazawa so I didn’t do anything but staying in the hotel. The room is small but adequately comfortable. It served my needs.
