Nozawa Onsen was readily accessible by fast train and a bus. The Village had good amenities including a variety of eating venues. A free shuttle bus went around the town and to the ski fields every 15 minutes. The ease between getting between the Village, ski fields and accommodation was exceptional. There was even a travellator for going up to the snow and back to the town. The snowfall was excellent particularly as our visit was late in the season in mid March.johnAustralia - 10Scored 10

Amazing ski resort with great snow and very friendly personnel. Everything worked nicely and the small town center is lovely. Streets can get narrow so make sure you have parking in advance if going by car. Also check distance from ski lifts.

Beautiful, clean inn with wonderful hosts. Great common premises, especially the kitchen, which is great for breakfast (you can buy coffee pods at cost from the host). The futons were very comfortable. We hope to return! Recommendation for future guests: try to make reservations for restaurants for your entire stay once you arrive (and the inn staff can help) to avoid lining up in cold weather.

We received an introduction to Nozawa Onsen at the very beginning and it saved us plenty of time. We enjoyed tasty food in the village. There was a kids play room, that my little one enjoyed very much. Although it was very simple. The Japanese style breakfast was very tasty, not too hard for a foreigner. Also there was coffee and cornflakes. It was close to the center of the village and the ski park.

All you need in the accom plus the added benefit of the hotel and facilities (onsen, breakfast) and assistance across the street. Very helpful in booking lift passes, ski gear hiring suggestions and importantly restaurant/ dinner bookings (essential). Their suggestions were very good and took us to some outstanding venues - and we have been to Nozawa 4 times so always new places to try!!. Gentle 7 mins walk to Hikage slopes/ gondola. Cannot recommend Corner House highly enough.

The location is good, not too far from the center of the village. We had a car and there was a parking lot across the street from the hotel. The hosts are kind and helpful, they changed my room when I requested because the first one was on the street side and we could hear the cars. The bathroom is shared, japanese style with onsen, and it was warm and clean. Both times I went, it was empty so just me. Very good value for money!

Our rooms were also newly renovated and was spacious for 3 pax. We loved the home-cooked breakfast every morning and even had a traditional Japanese breakfast prepared on New Year’s Day. We had such a comfortable stay and will definitely recommend this accommodation! Thank you very much to our wonderful hosts for being so responsive to our questions from booking till arrival. We look forward to coming back :)

Free use of the laundry facilities was also great. The Ridge is a nice cosy, warm apartment to base yourself for skiing. Shannon also provided us with a shuttle back to the bus terminal. Highly recommend!
