I strongly advice going to "Adega 25 Abril" restaurant, very nice staff and good food at suitable prices. Do not go to "Taberna a Pipa". Awfull service, did not attend us at all, regardless of the small children within our group. They had an available table that was suposed to be for us, but did not prepar it or allow us to seat and order something for the children. We ended going to other restaurant.

Large balcony overlooking well-manicured gardens and pool, which make for a good place to lounge. Wifi is strong and reaches the pol/garden area. Breakfast was copious and of good quality, and the on-site restaurant offers decent food albeit from a limited menu. Beds are comfy. The large terrace was perfect for morning coffee, lunch or evening drinks. The air conditioning was wonderful and kept the entire apartment at a comfortable temperature day and night. The location is central and parking close and very safe. Bedding and towels were high quality. The comfortable courtyard in the back is peaceful a great place to enjoy a glass of wine after a busy day. There is a set of narrow stairs so if you have mobility issues ask for a room on the ground floor. Thankyou Paulo we really enjoyed our stay.

The breakfasts were excellent - plenty of choice with foods typical to the region. Very, very friendly people (in fact, some of whom are the owners themselves) and all are really helpful. We would stay again without a doubt.

You're in the centre and have easy access to all museums and things to see and do. The owner is very kind and accomodating and the place itself is already a little museum! I would certainly recommend it to others.
