The view of the lake was very nice. You could even see Taipei 101 in the distance. I requested room 805 in advance, which is the "It Started With A Kiss" room, and they were happy to accommodate. I was glad to see that they kept the original wicker chairs used by the actors in that drama, even though they're old and worn after 20 years. The heart they added above the headboard was a nice tribute as well, just don't look inside the heart. The breakfast was good, although the "Western" style breakfast was french fries and chicken nuggets, which is typically not a breakfast food in the West. I'd recommend pancakes or waffles with syrup.

Xindian is close to nature. But traffic pollution and bad smell of sewerage are bad, so it defeats the purpose of staying there. No reasonable restaurants are around. One can easily looses one's appetite after passing street food stores. Not sure if food are clean, but they are certainly not presentable. It is a place for local people, but not for international travelers.
