I LOVE Fredericksburg. I love history and there is so much history here. I wish I had more time to see everything. There is a lot of shopping for those who like shopping, and just so much to do. They have done a tremendous job in keeping the history alive and available for tourists to get a taste of what it was like and the horror of the Civil War. Though I was primarily visiting to meet friends and get on the AutoTrain the next day, we did tour downtown Fredericksburg and found it a quaint town with many nice shops and old but well maintained historical buildings. Free parking was easy to find. The town was clean and appeared to be very safe.

Fredericksburg is amazing place if you love history and small town field. The history and shops are super fun to go in and out of as you stroll down the main street of downtown Fredericksburg. If you need bigger better shopping or want to do outlet shopping there are tons of stores, not too far from the downtown area. I would highly recommend Fredericksburg anyone who’s just looking for a nice place to take a walk or go on a historic tour
