We loved the spacious layout of the condo. Also we really appreciated the complimentary upgrade. The proximity to the water was great, showers had great pressure, the kitchen was accommodating for cooking, and parking was easy.
We did expect a better ocean view as requested and per the pictures advertised. We had a view of the ocean from the side of the property.

The area is a bit away from the swimming beaches, shopping and dining, but it is very convenient location for driving to these areas, as well as other areas in Maui. There is a local bus service that runs until about 8:30 PM, so that is also handy. Very quiet area in the evenings so you can get a good nights sleep.

This is the windy side of the island (Maui is the windiest island anyway) and there are lots of condos and places to stay and eat in this area. Easy to get to and a short drive to Lahina and about an hour from the main airport.

The beach across from the hotel is not for the faint at...
The beach across from the hotel is not for the faint at heart. Strong undertow and waves that can knock you down. There are also rocks protruding out of the sand that hurt if you get caught by a wave. I would suggest a beach at the park. There is a beautiful boardwalk along the ocean behind the Weston that is open to the public as is any beach in Hawaii. The one thing I would avoid is the Road to Hana. In my opinion it is not worth losing a day over a hairraising drive with many curves, very few places to pull over to look at the scenery and dense and tall vegetation that hides the views. Too much traffic and drivers that do not pay attention to the conditions.

The best part was the view. It was outstanding! It was breath taking. Unfortunately, they were working on the ocean barriers during the day. The owners gave full notice so it was no fault of theirs. When you went down the stairs to the right it was a great spot to swim and snorkel, saw multiple kinds of fish from that spot and saw a few sea turtles swim by. Location was great as it was walking distance to coffee shops, Papi Ohana cinnamon rolls, restaurants (The Fish Market and Pizza Paradiso were both A+) and a park/beach. The kitchen was great as we cooked multiple meals in the condo. Everyone was very friendly. Also was a very short drive to Black Rock Beach and to Kapalua Bay.HazelUnited States of America

Kitchen, washer/dryer, and BBQ (shared) were nice. We never used the pool since the beaches are right there. This condo is located halfway between Kaanapali and Kapalua resort areas. Hololani is walking distance to Maui Brewing Co, a coffee shop, snorkeling store, gas station, and McDonald's. There are also board games, beach chairs, and pool noodles to use.

Unit is second floor, 15 steps, overlooks Honoakowai beach park. Well equipped with kitchen utensils, beach gear, towels. Small condo complex, quiet, 10 minutes some quick food shops, 25 minutes walk supermarket, bus stop 5 minutes. No A-C, ceiling fans only, gets a little warm inside by late afternoon but bearable, cools off at night.
