This hotel was fantastic! The 2 bedroom layout allowed a couple coworkers to share a room, while still having their own space. Our Office sent a birthday gift to one of the guests and the front desk made sure it found it's way to the correct room, which really brightened his day. They made check-in and check-out a breeze and it was a great location, we could walk to the beach.

Location to shops and beach . Nice trail into Manhattan right behind hotel.
The bed was comfortable .
There were no homeless people or drug addicts. I enjoyed walking on the backstreets through the neighborhood down to the beach and pier. Downtown Manhattan Beach is very trendy with nice cafes and shops. I enjoyed the aquarium on the pier, and I bought a book at the local bookstore.

Manhattan beach is app an hour away from downtown LA and 15 min from LAX. It's got a lovely vibe, people out cycling- walking along the boardwalk or playing beach volley by the pier. Plenty of parking close to beach. Nice restaurants and bars. I would say this area is more for the 30 plus travelers - it's a grown-ups sort of area. I liked the bar on the corner down the hill towards the pier- the shellback- where you could see the sunset w a cold beer in your hand through the window..

Went for the Manhattan Beach Volleyball Tournament.
Went for the Manhattan Beach Volleyball Tournament. With bikes, easy for us to get to, but perhaps a challenge for others that don't like to walk or bike. The beach community is great and lot of great restaurants and bars around the main pier area. Love Shellbacks for a classic dive bar fun experience off the strand.

The location is the best. lots of services nearby.
The location is the best. lots of services nearby. Great walkability. Unfortunately, no dresser with drawers. No pictures on wall.
Good Coffee, surprisingly, as I am picky on coffee. The breakfast will get you by until 11am.
Front desk is pleasant. Pool was closed first five days.
I would stay here again.

Our first impression was not great, the women at the front desk was unpleasant and unfriendly. Luckily, when we were actually able to check in another clerk helped. The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet, the breakfast was fabulous, and the path to downtown MB provided great exercise.

Very well situated hotel close to Manhattan Beach and LAX - we chose it based on it's proximity to what we needed during our time in LA not expecting much but were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable it was and well supported by local infrastructure. Rooms are simple and no-frills, but clean and comfortable, and all the staff were friendly, helpful, and accomodating. The pool was clean, and was welcome after long days in the heat during the heat wave. Stayed again at the tail end of our USA trip - second stay was just as comfortable.
Loved the inside courtyard. The flowers were beautiful- great place to relax. The room had three things I love in a hotel room- a microwave, a small fridge, and a desk. We loved the hotel- the breakfast usually is so-so in a hotel and this breakfast was unusually good. Such a a nice surprise. Everything clean and functional.
Staff was very kind and helped me out with a pair of pliers when I needed them. Room was very clean and provided everything I needed. Good breakfast and I also liked the fitness room. Location was convenient for me to reach business partners in the area. Also, Manhattan Beach Pier can be reached in a 30 minute walk.
The hotel is family friendly, with quiet hours, about 15 minutes walk to the beach. Nice personal, very good breakfast. The room is big and comfortable, we had full kitchen, with dishes, plates included (dishwasher just finished as we arrived). There is a Target next to the hotel.
perfect place to stay if you’re exploring Manhattan Beach nightlife or the beach. Very convenient. I asked for a quiet room, and they gave us the one in the very back. Slept great, sheets were nice, lady at the front desk was extremely pleasant.
Beautiful modern hotel in the heart of Manhattan Beach. Really nice and comfortable rooms, with all the modern amenities and a really spacious bathroom. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. Great bar with outgoing staff.
The price was better than most other hotels in the area. The room was a good size and even though the room was up against a main street, the walls and windows prevented a good portion of the sound from being a problem.
The Crimson Hotel in Manhattan Beach, CA 90266 is in a great location on Pacific Coast Hwy between 8th & 9th streets (or Sepulveda Blvd as some people refer to the street). Free parking, but the “greatness” ends there.
location ( near to bus stop, supermarket, 1 way bus to LAX)
20 mins walk to manhattan beach
staff kindly fulfilled our request by putting microwave / hairdryer in the room
Book the jacuzzi room at the way hotel in Manhattan Beach and they gave me a regular room I canceled the booking and went somewhere else. That messed up an anniversary.
Convenient location. Nice to stay near the airport but but not feel like you are in an airport hotel. Main strip of Manhattan beach is in walking distance.
