The breakfast was awesome -- the best I've had at any hotel. And in the evenings the hotel provided a beer get together with local beers. The staff was very accommodating, and van transportation was provided to where our cruise ship was docked.

Loved our room and the view of the Harbor was absolutely beautiful! An otter was playing in the water and the views were exceptional!

We were on a short trip to see an art exhibit at a wonderful coffee house. We also browsed around the shops and enjoyed a great First Friday Art Walk and dinner at the Flamingo. It was a delightful weekend. Seward has much more to offer for a longer stay. The views of the mountains and the sea are stunning.

Seward is a nice small town.
Seward is a nice small town. We went during the off season. a lot of things where closed or had limited hours during our trip. We missed out on a few items we would have liked to check out but there was still plenty to do in the area. Recommend a wildlife boat tour, we had a blast and still saw a lot of wildlife so early in the year. The Alaska Sea Life Center is a must see any time.

Hotel was well situated in a retail area with many options for food, ice cream, coffee and and drinks. The views of the harbor and access to it were great and right out the back door. The complimentary breakfast was good with both hot and cold items.

Lots of construction driving to/from Seward from Anchorage, so it took way longer than we had anticipated. It was a cute town and we enjoyed our 8.5 hour glacier cruise. I would definitely take a shorter cruise. Fox Island was a great part of our cruise.

Seward is a charming waterfront town with plenty of good restaurants and things to do. We took two incredible boat tours with Kenai Ford Tours; they were fabulous. There is plenty of hiking, and the city is nestled between mountains. Seward is the kind of place you hate to leave.

Highly recommend coming to take a glacier tour, whale watch, hike or to take children to the aquatic life center. Nice, locally owned galleries and shops with friendly keepers. Easy to get around and can access local parks and walking trails with close by parking.
We only needed to stay in Seward for one night, so we opted for a cheaper option with no bathroom in the room. The hotel was quiet, beds were comfy and using a shared bathroom wasn't a problem. The hotel has a little restaurant to have a breakfast but you want to be up early - we saw several families waiting in the lobby for vacant tables. The hotel is about 30 mins walk to the harbor, which we didn't mind but will be an issue for people with suitcases. We learned that the hotel provides shuttle service from the railway station.
Lovely place to stay in Barrow. Beautiful home with Inuit art. Very comfortable, clean room. Hosts very helpful and welcoming. Good breakfast. Unless you need to stay in the big hotel or the one near the airport, this is far more home-like and personal. Only about a ten-fifteen minute walk to center of town.
Restaurant is very good - not fancy, but tasty food. Cool bar. The check in staff were very helpful and the hotel also has a laundry room available for guests to use. The location was excellent for access throughout Seward and especially the harbour area and the train station. The room was clean.
This is the best hotel in Seward if you have kids. The pool is a big draw. But the harbor side location and the balconies that overlook it are also a plus. The free breakfast is also very good. Do yourself a favor and skip the pancake machine for the toaster Belgian waffles. They are delicious.
Such a great place to stay! Our cabin was right next to the beautiful creek. The room was spacious, clean, and beds were new and very comfortable. The cabin was located a short walk from the restroom and showers. Both restroom and showers were very clean. Our host Brandon was awesome.
Friendly helpful staff. Room overlooked the harbour. Beautiful views. Right across the road from the tour offices offering various trips including whale watching boats. Free buses into Seward Town centre which is only small with one main street but does have a Sealife Centre to visit.
The room was spacious, well-furnished, and very clean, and the hotel is nicely located near coffee shops and the Main Street area as well as several trailheads. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a pleasant spot to enjoy Seward and the surrounding area
We had two cabins, separate from the hotel, so we had privacy. There was an adequate restaurant between the hotel and the cabins. Seward is a small town, so everywhere - including the Exit Glacier - was within 10 minutes.
Location was good. For a historic landmark this hotel was filthy; carpets not vacuumed, trash spilling over in breakfast room from the day before. Room dirty, mold on wall, wallpaper peeling, no heat in room.
Little cute cabins! The environment was perfect and relaxed. Close to Seward, to minutes by car. Breakfast and a very well equipped kitchen is provided. Excellent
