This place is just amazing, not only the house but overall place. The staff is friendly, helpful, and communicative. This is a ranch with animals that kids (and adults) can visit and pet. Owners were so kind that they introduced us to baby goats, explained how to behave around them, and let us go into the fenced area. At the reception area, they have an engaging souvenir store and breakfast area where everyone can find something for themself (super happy for gluten-free options). Everywhere can be sensed amazing feeling for interior and landscape design - everything is done with perfection and attention to detail. We all loved the pool area - they have several saunas, a unique outdoor pool with (heated/cooled) resting pavilions, a jacuzzi, a grill with tables, and a fire pit area. It was made very thoughtful.
I wish we could have stayed longer.

The Sky View Hotel was beautiful and artistically designed.
The Sky View Hotel was beautiful and artistically designed. The art instellation was so cool. They were very welcoming. Really enjoyed all the extra details they put into making our stay wonderful. They had snacks ready, large water bottles we could use for hiking, delicious fresh ground local coffee and a healthy breakfast from a local vendor. The room was perfect for viewing the stars. We also went up to the roof deck for night viewing. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. This is a truely wonderful place. Capitol Reef is a splendid National Park. Not to be missed.

Nice little town in a spectacular location near fabulous Capital Reef National Park. Liked the well stocked Chuck Wagon General Store with attached laundromat and helpful, friendly owner. Especially liked the nearby Color Country Animal Welfare Center which is a no-kill shelter with a wonderful staff, which also provides affordable boarding for people traveling with dogs so they can hike in the park which doesn't allow dogs on most trails. Would stay in the area again.

Here you get all the beauty of Sedona, while leaving the crowds behind. This part of the world is easily some of the most beautiful. Torrey is right at the base of Boulder Mountain which offers all the activities typical to forested areas, while Capitol Reef National Park offers stunning desert rock formations. Enjoy one of America's great roads on Utah State Route 12 -- worth driving the whole thing.

Torrey is a small town in central Utah.
Torrey is a small town in central Utah. It is 10 miles west of Capitol Reef National Park. There are not many facilities to accommodate the ever growing number of visitors. Unfortunately, prices for lodging, food, camping and services keep rising at a faster rate than inflation. The attraction is the nation park and BLM recreation lands, such as Grand Staircase- Escalante National Monument, and the scenery. The restaurants, and now food trucks, charge above average prices for average food. The best value in town is the Chuckwagon Deli and Grocery Store.
very good price in an older but very well maintained western cowboy motif, right down to the boot spur toilet paper dispenser and table lamps. location near the entrances to the Grand Staircase Escalante (incredible drive through or hiking place) and the Capitol Reef national park is perfect. and the food in the restaurant was better than what we paid three times as much for in Estes Park at a ritzy place a week earlier. Very good breakfast too. maybe the best value for the dollar I have experienced on decades of travel.
Very cute boutique hotel. Perfect location, great amenities, the hot tub was the perfect ending to a long but fun day. All the extra little touches from the smores & campfire, treats in the room, wonderful coffee, and hospitality... this is the place to stay when visiting Capitol Reef/Torrey, UT. Loved the upper deck to check out the dark sky. The breakfast box we purchased from Hunt and Gather was soooo tasty! Wish the still would have been open for the season
This "resort" is located at a breathtakingly beautiful and very quiet spot outside of tiny Torrey and a few miles from Capitol Reef NP. It is a rather large resort that offers unique Tipis and Wagons for lodging as well a nice new cabins. It also offers motel-type lodgings. There is a newer motel building as well as two older motel buildings. Torrey offers a little jewel of a restaurant -- Hunt and Gather -- which provided us with a surprisingly excellent meal.
It was gorgeous! The room we stayed in was in the new wing on the restaurant side and it was awesome! Loved the decor, the room was clean and had everything we needed including a very nice view of the country area behind the hotel. The staff was super friendly and helpful, only name I recall is Sherri who checked us in. We sat on the deck near the pool, walked through the back, sat on the stargazing deck. The morning we left, there was a beautiful rainbow!
Location is good for visiting Capitol Reef and to start (or finish) a sightseeing journey on highway 12. We visited in the off-season, which is great for visiting the national parks but there is not much to do in Torrey and finding a place to eat is a challenge. The Broken Spur restaurant is closed for dinner during the winter season, but fortunately breakfast is available. Room was OK. Our four-year-old liked the on-site playground.
Great place to stay if you are heading to Capitol reef. This is a new small hotel and has a bunch of lovely touches from the art on the front landing to included snacks and the Apple TV to stream to from your devices without wires and included high speed internet. Overall one of the best places I have stayed in a long time.
it’s a large property with beautiful surroundings, very peaceful, loved the animals on the farm, the staff were very friendly, great food/ snack selection in the common area/kitchen, room was very large, very nice modern bathroom, the town of Torrey had great restaurants and surrounding area had great hikes.
Staff was super friendly and room was spacious and well located right near Capital Reef. They hurried to get us checked in so we could enjoy dinner in the restaurant. The food was very good. Highly recommend this neat place.
Our room was clean, and the nearby Patio restaurant had a great pizza. The staff were all very friendly. The breakfast pastries were surprisingly good, and they had hot coffee readily available in the morning.
This is a motel but the rooms were hotel standard! Clean, modern and spacious. Beautiful lobby and check in area. Great breakfast. The last pix is of the fireplace in the lobby.
The room on the lower floor was very accommodating to my needs. The parking had a concrete apron near the rooms which made parking a motorcycle stable.
