The property and accommodation was perfect.
The property and accommodation was perfect. It was just as what was advertised. The breakfast was well presented and good. The staff was very friendly and polite. If there was a negative it would be the toilet seat that needs replacing and also to ensure that all toiletry containers are full before guests arrive. Also there was no hand soap for the hand basin. Other than that we had a good stay.

George is a beautiful place with gorgeous picturesque areas but unfortunately I couldn't visit as I I was only passing through only stayed for one night. The location of this hotel is conveniently across the mall where you can go shopping have lunch or dinner. The lady at the reception also told us of other best restaurants we can visit in town and we found the best for our dinner their food was amazing 👏

Pathetic service, an absolute lie (4-star).
Pathetic service, an absolute lie (4-star). Will never ever visit this hotel again, and will make sure to advise others accordingly. In fact, will address this on 'Hello Peter' website to inform the rest of the world!!! Will also review on Booking.com
Shower leaking into the passage and bedroom. Basin running very slowly. Towels more than 10 years old, tattered at the ends and very thin. Toiletries not replenished at all. Uncountable amount of dirty stains on the carpet floor throughout the room, absolutely disgusting. TV loses signal all the time. WiFi signal is very poor. Kettle physically broken. What a disaster... definitely not a 4-star hotel, should be investigated for false advertising.
Manager not really perturbed by the complaints and doesn't really appear to be concerned by the ridiculous condition of the room, because the hotel is apparently "fully booked".
I've been to the Garden Route more that 15 years in a row and by far my worst experience!!

George is a city that MUST be visited by all South Africans.
George is a city that MUST be visited by all South Africans. George, along with Knysna and Plettenberg Bay are the most beautiful destinations in our country. The beaches are amazing (Heralds Bay and Victoria Bay) and the people are friendly. This really is the place to go to get away from the busyness of Joburg and get some decent rest.

Nice location, close to everything and safe area.
Nice location, close to everything and safe area. Come and go during the day and no need for assistance to enter property as you have your own code.Wifi excellent even during loadshedding. All the items you may have forgotton home was in the room to use. Not too many rooms and hot water no problem even it is fully booked. Nice garden area to relax after a busy, tired day. Very friendly dog that meets you on arrival and say goodbuy when departing. Excellent stay..thank you.
Mimosa Cottage is located in a quiet suburb in George. It is a great place for an overnight stay. The accommodation was clean and well kept. We travelled from Cape Town on New Years Day and arrived just before 8pm. After a long day on the road, we were pleasantly surprised to find a warm meal of vetkoek and mince, and a whole lot of goodies, including 'Happy New Year" hats. The accommodation and warm hospitality of the hosts(even though we did not get to meet them) was wonderful, and greatly appreciated.
The hotel in a nice location.
The shuttle driver was very nice and jolly.
the evening room service staff were very nice and friendly, went out of their way to get the orders right and served with a smile.
On Monday evening the receptionist organised and had hot water delivered to my room in a bucket so that I could bath because the water in my room was too dirty.
Anli and Peter are friendly, accommodating hosts. The Red Gate Suite is conveniently situated off York Street and very close to a shopping centre in a tranquil residential area. The suite is spacious and comfortable and private. I enjoyed my stay there and would stay there again when visiting George
I was impressed by the professional and friendly service provided by the staff. We had a friendly welcome by reception and made sure that our check in was swift and hassle-free. For this reason, I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel whenever I am back in George.
The breakfast at Whispering Oaks Guesthouse is excellent. There is granola and yoghurt to start followed by a breakfast dish of your choice from the breakfast menu. Tea and coffee also available. The rooms are very comfortable. Our go to guesthouse when in George.
The location is great, but what i really appreciate is that the facility is located in a save and beautiful environment, spacious, clean and Emce being an awesome host. Will always be my first choice to stay over when visiting George
Loved the comfort of having peace and quite. Very nice place and suitable for a few people. Well situated to get in and out of George when traveling for work. Very nice braai area and swimming pool.
Sindy is an amazing host making you feel right at home without being intrusive. Great location and the room was top notch. Was my second visit but will certainly stay again when in George.
I was on route to my accomodation in Plett and booked in George for two days. In hindsight I should have booked at a better accomodation in George and will never recommend the Town Lodge.
Beautifully restored historic hotel set in lovely gardens with big trees. Excellent rooms with modern conveniences. Delicious breakfast with good options available.
