We where walking the Hadrians wall path and were very lucky in staying at the Lanercost Country B&B. Beautifully situated close to a local priory which was a welcoming surprise, definately worth a visit. The hostes will make sure your stay will exeed your expectations, provides excellent tips for local routes and all. Our room was very spacious, spotless and beautifully decorated, overall the best facilities we've encountered during our trip. Dinner was prepared, which we ordered in advance. Breakfast was excellent as well, would definately return once we're in the area.

The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, and the views from our window were picturesque, offering a serene backdrop to our stay. The location was ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the Lake District, with easy access to roads, trails and lakes. Tarn Hows was close by and simply quintessentially English countryside at its best! What truly set this B&B apart was the genuine care and hospitality of the hosts. Ees Wyke Country House er glæsilegur gististaður frá Georgstímabilinu í Lake District, í innan við 4,8 km fjarlægð frá bænum Hawkshead. Breakfast was excellent. We loved having afternoon tea and scones in the drawing room, and a refreshing cider served while we read. Books about Beatrix Potter and a sunny window seat to snuggle up and read were very much appreciated.
