We could have a late check-in without hassle with a key box outside the hotel, and could even park the car in a secure place. The staff was proactive and professional. A person was causing trouble outside the hotel, banging the door and shouting from 23:00 to 0:45 (while the reception was closed), keeping everyone awake. The staff sent someone as soon as they were made aware of the issue, and we even got compensated for our troubles without asking (free parking).

The location is perfect. The hotel is historic. The staff were friendly and the room met all our needs. The room was not very big but it had everything: marble bathroom, lovely toiletries, mini refrigerator , coffee maker, safe, etc. . The hotel has two wonderful restaurants with great food.

I read other reviews. Some people are saying they had to pay for the shuttle bus. I had a rented car which I returned to the airport the evening before I left Zurich. I was able to take the shuttle back to the hotel for free. I had an appointment to return to the airport in the morning for my flight, owhich was also free and easy. Rumlang is reasonably close to both, the airport and the Hauptbahnhof - the main railway station. It scores on this the most. However, it does not have many eating-out spots, and it is best advised to go to the main railway station and then eat out there.

A tidy town that has nothing open after lunch on Saturday until Monday. And, that’s right, we were there on Sunday. We therefore enjoyed MacDonalds and Subway. Very disappointed that there was nothing Swiss to have.

Convenient to the airport and 2 good italian restaurants within walking distance of the hotels prior to departure or evening meal. Also has Maccas and a few other fast food outlets close by plus Aldi for a few departure beers, chips, nuts and purchase of forgotten travel items. Most hotels are Very close to the station of Rumlang for trips to the city of Zurich and great place to be for catching a train to Zurich Hauptbahnhof for connections to the train network of Switzerland .

One of the first things that struck me about Rümlang was its idyllic setting. Surrounded by rolling hills, lush green meadows, and beautiful forests, the town is a haven for nature lovers. Across the street from grocery store and a Subway sandwich restaurant. We completed the early check in so only had to wait in line to pick up key. Good value. Easy to find from airport by car. Train station only about 8 minute walk - took train into central Zurich. Very easy. Recommend to eat at Ristorante Pizzeria Sorriso - within walking distance from hotel. Excellent food

We used the public bus and not the shuttle offered by them. The ticket costs around 8 euro/person and is valid for 24 hours. They kept yelling at us to us booking. So three of us did and the calendar jumped one week out between the booking pages. I quickly called booking to ask IGH for a refund but they said no.
