Breakfast was fantastic, fruits and breads and jam and eggs, with a truly stunning view. The pool and the kitchen were right outside my door, which was lovely.

Strange vibes in this town, we were constantly harassed by people selling things, it was really uncomfortable. The whole three days we were there we only saw maybe 3 or 4 other white people, we felt we stuck out in a really bad way and felt very unsafe at night.

Las Galeras was a perfect place to stay. Beautiful beaches.
Las Galeras was a perfect place to stay. Beautiful beaches. If you like snorkeling and diving this is the place to visit. Samana is good for fishing whale watching. There are some beautiful hotels in Samana. A lot of Bed And Breakfast if you prefer to stay there. Beaches must go to Las Galera. Samana you can take the Gua Gua (bus) from Puerto Plata DR, to Samana for 400 paiso . The ride is safe and they make a 2 hr stop for food and bathroom. The total travel time is 4 hours to Samana and then if you want to go to LaGaleras it's 1 hr more and costs 120 paiso.

For me Samana have one of the most beaches in DR.
For me Samana have one of the most beaches in DR.
They’re no too far from the town.
It’s easy to book trips to: salto limón, playa Rincón, cayó levantado.
Only one concern for me, most of attractions doesn’t accept credit cards, yes you always can use cash, but currently, every business have a device to collect the payment through CC.

Samana is an unbelievably beautiful and picturesque city filled with historic places and amazing architecture. The people and super friendly and kind and treat you like family. We were so impressed with the area, that we have decided to return for Christmas and look for a piece of land where to build a property. Just gorgeous!

The seafront looks like adjusted to tourist crowds coming from PC. However, the rest is real Dominican what we liked. Lots of activities (ziplines, Playa El Valle, whales, Los Haitises, Las Galeras, Playa Rincon, etc.) Good for 4-5 day stay.

Beautiful pristine nature, a taste of real Dominican republic (not your typical resort stay). Rural yet safe to visit. If you come in January, February or March you can go whale watching - highly recommended.

This place is gorgeous. We didn’t realize that it would be very challenging to get to - so be careful if you’re driving to do so during the day. The hotel is very well landscaped. We loved eating our meals in the outdoor kitchen where they cook right in front of you. It was very good and fresh! The view from the infinity pool is unforgettable. Everyone was very kind and one of the staff was able to speak with us in English.
For our excursion, we rode horses to a waterfall - not exactly for beginners but was a very cool experience!!
Spacious room, nicely decorated, unmatched view. I read the bad reviews about the food, I do not know what people usually eat, but for me the food quality was far over the expectations. Beautiful beach. And with the rented car you can reach in 20-30 minutes one of the most beautiful beaches as well as other amazing trekking places in DR if the hotel beach is not enough.
This hotel is out of the city touristic areas, this is actually good because I was interested in exploring Samana Bay beaches so this helped me to avoid city's traffic, for me is fair for the price. Rooms are cleaned daily and the breakfast is more than enough. Kitchen is well equipped and they have parking available. There is a little market one block away to buy food.
All of the food was well prepared. I did NOT like the fact that the snack area by the pool had food uncovered and a TON of flies helping themselves to the food. That was the first day. I did not see too many flies at the regular buffet area but still saw some. The hotel is very beutiful and the staff maintain the cleanliness which is not easy when it rains.
Everything was perfect: location, hygienic, staff, services, the view. Perfect to be in the city and enjoy all the places around, I will stay in this hotel every time I come back to this beautiful city.
The coffee is delicious so you can see the sunshine or sunset from the terrace of the hotel, a perfect moment.
Listening to the rainstorm from our space was nice. Once it finally got quiet after midnight, it was wonderful to hear the insects and the birds the following morning. I am sure if we were in a room further from the main area and it was quieter, we would have really liked this hotel.
The staff are excellent, the breakfast is absolutely delicious, the building itself is new and modern, and the view can't be beat. The hotel takes credit card payment and is generally very accommodating to its guests.
The hotel is new and it is very comfortable, the owner Jose is always around and he looks after the clients really well. Breakfast is good. The stuff is always kind and helpful. Totally recommend to book the hotel.
The staff is very friendly and did their best to make us fell confortable. The hotel is new and the design of the room is a little bit small but elegant. The bed and pillows are very confortable. Breakfast is okey.
Nice Apartment in nice location. It is within the Hotel Xeliter Vista Mare complex. The facilities of the hotel can be used. Small but quiet and nice privat beach. Yriz is a very attentive and accommodating host.
Everything about this hotel is perfect. Staff were super friendly and nice. One of the staff members, Gelson, gave me a lot of good info about what to see in Samana. There is so much to see in Samana.
The hotel is very modern, the rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. We loved the pool and roof top bar although they close quite early. The staff are really friendly and helpful.
I love the location and the friendly staff this hotel has. The staff talked to us about a tour that was to die for. I will definitely stay there again when I go back to samana.
